Theodore Roof is putting together pretty good defenses everywhere he's been since Auburn. What's the deal with that?

i think he is somewhere in between. Hes a great defensive mind, not so much a head coach.

It may work well for them, they have the exact opposite on offense

It's all Gus's fault. We haven't fielded a competent defense since he brought his wizardry to the plains

What did Steele have to do with that?

I can't pretend to know the inner workings of a team, I just look at W's and L's.

Yea he's proven to be a terrible defensive coordinator. LSU on the other hand hired a proven winner.

And a LSU fan should know he's a very good DC.

Well, I guess the college football world will find out what kind of a DC Muschamp is. I just wish he would have some kind of resume we could go off of.

Muschamp is 27-20 in four seasons, 17-15 in SEC play.

Saturday's 23-20 overtime loss to South Carolina was the Gators' sixth in their last eight home games.

Last year UF lost eight starters to season-ending injuries and finished 4-8, the Gators' first losing season since 1979.

People do not realize that Will doesn't have to be s Savior, just someone to make AU average on Defense.

I feel like I've heard this somewhere. I'm guessing your bonafide offense will carry the team, then?

seems like being such a perennial powerhouse Auburn would strive for more than a little worse than average on defense

What does any of that have to do with Muschamp as a dc?

As a head coach and way he acts on the sideline he is a idiot. As a defensive mind he is good. I wouldn't call him great but you could find a lot worse. His temper along with Auburns hurry up offense should make the sidelines interesting to watch.

I feel like I have heard this before but instead of Muschamp it was Roof/VanGorder/Johnson before.
