Murray is dumb not to have signaled to his team to clock it immediately after the 1st down completion
Actually he was looking at the sidelines and making a spiking motion, so he obviously thought it was a spike situation too. The fact that he didn't end up spiking means that a coach told him no, run a play.

quote:Because they went out of bounds on all but 2 plays. You definitely spike it down there to get everyone on the same page. Wasted too much time.
You just went 65ish yards without spiking going HUNH,

This! It's all on Richt, Murry was signaling spike and was obviously told not to.

Murray look like he quit to me. Just didn't want anymore.

Biggest clock management blunder in the history of sports IMO, given the stakes.
But blame is on Richt and coaches, not Murray. Murray went fade to the endzone, but it got tipped. There is no choice, you HAVE to spike it there and give yourself two shots (maybe even three) at the endzone.
(some blame should also go to the receiver as well...gotta know the situation and drop that one on purpose)

apparently they say he was going for the endzone and it got tipped directing the ball that way. Like I said, I was watching on this grainy arse internet connection so I didn't see it but if so then maybe it wasn't on Murray. They should have been signaling him to spike it.
They are dumb. Lester was all over that play had it not been tipped. Time would have run out anyway

They throw was a fade to the back of the end zone meaning it would be a TD or incomplete with time for another play. The ball was tipped and another receiver happened to be right there and went retard. Murray did the right thing. Clocking it is a different discussion and should be on CMR not Murray.
