Since January he's dropped a bunch of weight, run the Boston Marathon, made some good hires on the defensive side with a combination of youth and experience, brought in some well connected energetic guys in non-coaching positions, and seems to be re-energized. I think he may have either had a hangover from the 2014 season or was contemplating whether or not he should stay or go. I think now he's back to feeling he has something to prove, and while there may be some bumps this upcoming season, I'm excited as to what the next few years might have in store for MSU football.

I think OM gets 3 in a row like we did a 2009-2011. But OM will lose in Starkville in '17.

Same seems to be true of Freeze.

Nobody seems to want him. You never hear his name being tossed around for any of the opening or any fan base saying they want him.

Mullen has done just as good as Freeze with a third of the talent. I'd say the statement is true. He is the best coach in MS.

Recuriting is a huge part of being a head coach. The lack of talent is all on Mullen.

''15 was the first year Freeze had more talent. Both are very good coaches

Of the two, Mullen is the only one who has gotten his program on probation and actually for cheating, not some academic shite that happened under the previous administration

He's going his old mentor's route. He'll see how it goes one year after the school's legendary QB is gone, then he'll fake a heart attack and come back a year or two later at another school.

I agree with you that no other team seems to be clamoring for Mullen's services.I don't know why nobody else wants him since he has done a very good job at MSU.

But MSU needs to do all they can to keep him because he has made that program respectable....

Mullen thought he was getting the Miami job. He basically took a 3 week break from recruiting and that's why State got waxed on the trail.

I think the Mullen leaving for better job ship sailed 3 years ago. I'm not a huge fan of him, but I do appreciate how he has his system that he believes in and gets the most of the talent he recruits. The TSUN thing gets old, but it sure does rustle the yuppies in Oxford.

I'm interested in what State fans believe they can get better?
