Predicting a 4 point victory for Mizzou, 32-28.
Massey

Yet Vegas has Auburn at -2 in most books.
Vegas Lines

Public betting on AU's luck to continue while computers are purely quant?

What gives?

Not so fast my friend...

Auburn is given a 38% chance to win this game according to the sims.

Nice thing is that the vegas betting lines and simulations dont play the game.

Interesting link. Mizzou's win probability is 54% at Jordan-Hare, 62% neutral, and 68% at home.

I understand, but it's nice to get an objective take this late in the year.

Check out the previous season's best teams.

Nebraska from the mid 90's was pure dominance.

2008 Florida ranks really high all time as well.

Auburn stats don't really bode well for them because they don't do a good job of taking into account where AU's strengths are

Red Zone Defense and Offense. We do a ridiculously good job of holding teams to FGs or turnovers and converting our redzone opportunities into TDs.

Most simulation stats are based on yardage numbers and such where Auburn does a terrible job

That is great since those are exactly the same things that Mizzou excels at. Except Mizzou does those things just a bit better than Auburn does statistically.

That would be offset because the same can be said of Mizzou.

Total Defense ranks: MU 9th, AU 11th
Scoring Defense ranks: MU 2nd, AU 5th

Both teams are bend but don't break.
