Gone way too soon. Unfortunately this is something Bulldogs have had to deal with 2 times too many in the last few years. RIP Keith.

Mullen: I hope I never have to deal with something that hard again again

Heart goes out to Keith Joseph Jr, his father, his family, friends and the MSU football team. 5 years ago nearly to the day, MSU lost Nick Bell to cancer. This is already a tough time a year for the Dawgs and it just got even rougher.

May God give peace to his family. Sudden loss is tragic enough but to lose father and son is horrific. Prayers sent to his family and friends

Just this week was the two year anniversary of nick bell's passing. In the press conference, Mullen said it was the hardest thing that he has had to deal with as a coach and that he hopes he never has to again. Then this happens. Turrible.

Eta: five year

This is the pic I remember seeing when he signed with us. Good looking kid. His dad played while I was in school at State

Five year, but either way, untimely and incredibly sad regardless.

I know that banter is what we do on these boards, but I'm glad we have ranters who mention the tragic moments, too. Not to be a downer, but because this is real life. May they be remembered and endeared, and not forgotten. RIP

That is terrible to hear. A family losing a father and son together is something no one should go through. My condolences to their loved ones.
