First, what are you talking about. We haven't looked great by any means but our only loss was by one score to the best team in the county. If we finish below Arkansas, OM, or aTm then Gus is gone.
Second, there was nothing tongue in cheek about my comments. State is good this year. You guys need to make up your minds if you want us to think you're good or that you suck.

Your QB got sacked eleven times vs Clemson and the two backups from the spring have transferred or been kicked off. Sean White wasn't an NFL prospect but he was a solid QB that you could trust would win you at least 8 games. Stidham is gonna die if he keeps getting sacked like that. Your media is now currently brainwashing your fans into thinking some nobody is the next Nick Marshall cause he is by default the 2nd string QB now. Your two best RBs are banged up and you just had a 5* DL transfer. Gus is Conor McGregor in the 9th round right now. But when you do fire him Auburn is going to take an even bigger step back so again you can keep your tongue in cheek comments like "if you don't win ten games your season is a failure and if you don't win the West next year you never will" "you guys need to make up your minds if you want us to think you're good or that you suck". But to address your comments, we won't see another DL like Clemson all year. They embarrassed our OL, which is below average.
The nobody you referenced was already going to step in for Stidham should a long-term injury occur, so losing White wasn't really a big loss. He was basically a patch kit QB for this year.
And the 5* DL transferred because he was splitting reps with a true freshman and a walk-on.
And lastly, not sure what you're basis is for stating that we will take an even bigger step back if we fire Gus. If anything we've been at our best immediately after hiring a new HC
