This is new territory , Miss. St. nor Ole Miss has played for titles ever .... Ole Miss. was good in football 50 years ago and Miss. St. made the final four 15ish years ago but thats it.

A little triva for Ole Miss. , well not really triva because I am going to reveal something.

Go to winning percentage.com and type in 1950 to 1969 and over that 20 year span , Ole Miss. is number 1 in winning percentage..... Thats something to be proud of......

I was pulling for Ole Miss in the NCAA basketball tourney fwiw

Football is the only sport I really take seriously enough in the rivalry...everything else I'd rather a team from MS win it all than anyone else.

Some OM fans here definitely are pulling for MSU. I guess they are pulling a Bundy-esque "All in for the state of Mississippi" thing.

Weird. I would rather MSU lose and all but my life doesn't change if they win (it's just college baseball).. To each his own.

I suppose not being from MS precludes me from these strange state pride feelings

Football is the only sport where I'll watch non-Ole Miss teams play. I've caught a baseball or basketball game while channel surfing, but I actually make a point to watch as much college football as I can. SEC, ACC, Big Ten, doesn't matter to me because I enjoy it so much.

I don't do that for other sports. So I don't care enough about the sport to even watch it at this point meaning that aside from being annoyed by strangers on a dumb message board I, like 99% of Americans, have no real interest in the CWS.

meh, I'd root for MSU simply because it would be wonderful, for UCLA, a huge school from Los Angeles, California with more NCAA titles than they know what to do with, from the "mighty Pac12, where champions are made" and more liberal nutcases than the healthy legal amount.....

lose to Big 3 sports title to a SEC school from the state of Mississippi.

I love when people try to take away from a sport with a post citing that "no one cares"

Me neither... I guess if Ole Miss had more recent SEC success I could feel differently, but the SEC has been kicking our arse for years.

I would not want to be Mrs Pank if State wins the championship. Or your kids. Or the family pet. There's going to be broken shite and cops involved
