There's nothing upstanding about government jobs

Was speaking more of needing to have an upstanding reputation for recruiting purposes.

The Feds wouldn't be doing their jobs(shocker...I know) if they didn't investigate his financial records over the past X amount of years....as well as his football camp in Tupelo.

although he owns the house where the bust was made, there isn't yet any clear indication he was involved in all that guns and heroin business

Well we'll see. I highly doubt someone recruiting and coaching 14-16 hours a day is Avon Barksdale on the side.

in no way do I think Townsend is involved whatsoever. This is just terribly unfortunate for it to happen in a house that he owns. No doubt in my mind that he's 100% innocent but he will have to go through a ton of BS over the next few months that he and MSU doesn't deserve.
