We can afford 1.5 I we wanted. We could afford 6.5 if we wanted it just would come at the expense of other things

He is good, just not 1.5 million good. My guess is State probably offered to raise his salary to 750,000.

I wouldn't want to pay Loafers any more than 750.

He's good at fundraising / marketing and minor hires.

The major hires the jury is out. He never had to make a hire in football or baseball and he made an awful MBK hire. The rumor is that Howland fell into his lap basically. Not sure how much truth there is to that, but no one at MSU seems to give him much credit for it.

We are rich. It's OK. He's got most of the current coaches in place with none on the hot seat.

He'll have at least a couple of years to get it going.

Lots of facility upgrades planned. That's probably why he was a target. He seems to have a good skill set for that.

Hope he can figure out our baseball stadium to half as good as the plans for yours.

LOL no. We don't do home and homes with anyone but FSU sadly.

Meh. Frick Miami. I don't want to help them financially.

I'd like to see us go out west and get Oregon, Washington, BYU, Cal type games.

Jason Cook will likely be pursued as new AD at MSU. Aggies, how do you like him?
If Stricklin does leave, Jason would be kind of a no-brainer. He's probably ready for that job. Maybe he gets some experience at Starkville and comes back when Woodward leaves. While Jason is a Bulldog, his wife is an Aggie, and you know what they say--if Momma ain't happy, nobody's happy.

On a personal level, I'd hate to see it--probably end up with some yahoo taking his seats at Olsen(which are two rows in front of me). He seems like a really good guy.

Jason Cook is awesome. He helped build our brand and was an absolute wizard in his role. He helped get us into the SEC and marketed the hell out of the move. He's as close to a sure bet as you can get from someone who's never done the job.
