Yep. In two plays, Williams looks miles better than Fitz.

Yep, there's our QB.

He looks soooo much more comfortable in the pocket.

Yeah, Williams has to be the guy. Which is hilarious.

Yeah, but you don't have a quick trigger on "your guy" either, usually a quarter-half before making a change.

There was never a guarantee that Nick Fitzgerald was "the guy". The competition was very open all offseason. And based on what I'm seeing, he isn't the guy yet at least.

5-5 48 yards passing and a TD.

Yeah put a lid on this QB competition. Fitz better find his spot on the bench.

Hard to not point out Fitz's lack of field awareness. Dude was throwing into receivers that had nothing. Nerves or not, it wasn't pretty.

Williams definitely passing the eyeball test. Looking much more poised than Fitz. Suddenly the Jags are moving the ball, too. Clamp down fellas.

I mean, Fitz had two drives, Williams had one. Williams looked more polished and the offense reacted better to his leadership.

How about give the dude more than 3 throws? I understand it was a less than stellar start but Jesus cut the kid some slack

Hey, that's what a game against South Alabama is for, right? I'm sure he'll get another shot, but Williams definitely looks better with his experience.

This thread was wonderfully prophetic. Being the top thread once the lock cane down was beautiful.
