I think LSU fans base are definitely pioneers, as detailed by your entire message. While true that others may not have done as much to lift and unite the entire SEC, I have to say Auburn is the most unusual.

When Lee County Tiger came up with idea to draft off Auburn fans to other schools, this board went crazy. It created a frenzy, and most groups participated. LCTiger and Beaver have kept their new school logos to this day!

It was funny and we knew they weren't really switching their allegiance, but I doubt any other group would have been willing to play along.

LSU Fans did this all while NOT banning any other fanbase, and actually actively cultivating them and encouraging them to post here.

...great concept, which is actually what attacted me to this site. those goober sites out there who ban people for not walking like a duck in a row end up committing forum suicide. also, fans here are not banned for personal fudes amoung each other. applause to the SECRANT admin for allowing the "gloves off" concept to be.

My sister goes to Vandy. Here is what I can tell you.. Vanderbilt fanbase is no doubt different than most fanbases.

Vanderbilt students thinks its lame to show support for their own school. Its actually uncool to go to football games and wear Vanderbilt gear. The school literally has no school spirit. If you walk around campus you will see students wear Berkeley/Duke T-shirts. Even this one douchebag wore Carnegie Mellon T-Shirt on Vanderbilt's student calender on full display.

Why no school spirit? B/c of their historically bad sports teams. Why would you wear a Vanderbilt T-shirt while getting records of 2-10 year after year? What is really funny is that Vanderbilt students party and tailgate before the game.. but NO ONE watches the game or cares about it.

I think it is changing in recent years. They are becoming more serious about football and other sports. They are making tremendous progress building new football facilities and paying the coaches a good salary.

South Carolina fans who jump up and down to homosexual euro dance club music while twirling a white towel is unusual. For the SEC, anyway.

It fits right in among west coast or maybe some MAC schools.

LSU fans are weird in an awesome "WTF is he wearing/WTF are they drinking this early" kind of way.

We like costumes, live music, and ridiculous cornucopias of delicious food. Drinking isn't something we do on Saturdays, its part of our culture in very permanent way. We start earlier and end later and we pride ourselves on originality.

That is Louisianan folk for you. We put everything on the table, yell at each other, hash it out, then drink or otherwise get back on track. An open dialog is very comfortable to such people- Thanksgiving is like a therapy session but louder.

Big difference to the native Texans in my wife's family who pretend everything is ok and ignore bad stuff or stuff they don't want to hear. That kind of thinking leads you to a Texags, where conflicting ideas are not welcomed.

We thank you for this cause that shite wouldn't fly on SPS for a second. We can't even say "frick" on their site. We have to use "17" instead. How 17'd up is that?

BBN

It is hard to beat Lexington Police Scanner alert about naked man running with propane tank. No other data offered as tho it was a normal activity. I heard this late one night driving in a thunderstorm on a radio station on my way to Baton Rouge meaning it got national coverage.

The Georgia fans who turn in to florida state fans as soon as we have a few bad games. Drives me freakin nuts. Of course this has happened mostly after a loss to the gators.
