The title of the thread refers to Sports Program. If you want to discuss 'football' only, then I guess this isn't that thread.

With that said.....


Arkansas moved from what most here call a 'garbage' SWC, with SWC facilities and was behind about 60 years in SEC history, tradition and competition. Add to this that Arkansas is what I'm guessing to be the 11th or 12th smallest state in the SEC.

With no built in advantages Arkansas has moved their facilities to the tip top of the conference and has performed like this:

18 years:
7th in football wins
5th in baseball wins
2nd in basketball wins
1st in Track & Field


Say what you want about Arkansas but 'underachieving' should be the last.

In light of where we came from and what we have for recruiting soil, nothing about the above numbers are shy of overachieving. Football may be considered par for the course.
