2010 Auburn had the most suspects on a team if that's what you're asking.

2003 LSU. I think USC was the best team in the country.

Feel free to kill me for that statement, I stand by it.

eta - misread as BCSNCG.

Any championship claimed that isnt UPI (coaches poll) or AP is a bs claim. Talking to you, Alabama.

They aren't alone in that regard though. Tennessee has some whoppers in there.

I agree with you especially if you look at the losses the two teams had. USC had a close double OT loss to an Aaron Rodgers QB'd Cal team on the road. Meanwhile, LSU got shut out offensively and lost decisively to a Ron Zook coached Florida team starting a true freshman QB (Chris Leak) in Tiger Stadium. LSU's loss was infinitely worse and more unacceptable yet they got the bid over USC in the national championship game. Of course, Oklahoma being the #1 ranked team in the national championship was the biggest joke of all. Losing a game by 4 TDs should be an automatic disqualifier for playing in the national championship game.

Haha... I think every player on that LSU D ended up in the Pros. They were calling the OU offense one of the best ever and LSU held them to 154 total yards in the National Championship. I thought USC was great too. But the NC happened to be played in New Orleans and LSU hadn't won it all in a long time. LSU was hungrier than ever and there wasn't much chance of anybody getting out of their with a W against LSU and that D (the offense was good too).

USC lost to an 8-6 team and LSU lost to 8-5 team. There wasn't much difference there. But Florida played 7 ranked teams and had a murderous schedule (4 top 10 teams) and Cal only played 2 ranked teams. Florida ended up ranked and Cal didn't. LSU beat 5 ranked teams to USC's 3 when it was all said and done. Nobody played as physical as LSU's D that year.

Yall claim that year ?!?! MSU won the SEC that year.

I can't think of a single fan I know who claims 1941.

So you're saying Bama will stop claiming 2011 since they didn't win the SEC?

Most suspect MNC champ is definitely 2001 Miami. Lot of suspects playing for Thug U.

2002 Ohio State needed the refs to beat Miami in the national championship game while 1992 Alabama thoroughly beat down Miami in the Sugar Bowl. That's the main difference between the two.

The part people forget is that Miami needed the refs at the end of regulation to make the FG in the 4th quarter. Go back and watch it, and you'll see Miami was lucky to even get overtime.

1998 Tennessee.

I still don't know how good they were. They barely beat Syracuse on a last-second field goal the first game of the season. Syracuse was a solid team, though. Big East champs, they won at Michigan.
