If you separated from the Union I suppose it would be different states of a separate nation.

You bring absolutely nothing to the table... no facts at all... just broad blanket statements.

You are sorely misinformed.

You know, practically every statistical difference between Alabama and Mississippi that some of you take such relish in pointing out is explainable entirely by the fact that Mississippi's population is 37% black whereas Alabama's population is only 27% black.....including obesity, income, and everything else

let's include all levels in football in this question (NFL included) so that people in Alabama can shut up.

The Saints 1 Super Bowl would kind of knock LA out of the discussion too and give it to Texas or PA.

How many people of those states would accept being assimilated into and associated with each other?

I mean, Tiger, isn't it kind of embarassing to have all that talent in Louisiana and not field a better historical team than LSU?

no. we have done just fine across the board in sports.

A football title here or there, with a lot of baseball ones mixed in works for me.

Most of them, probably. The coastal regions of the Gulf States have much more in common with each other than they do with the parts of their states that are farther inland......culturally, economically, and otherwise......
