I knew I would get this response, flame or not. But its wrong. Maybe not by as much as I'd like but SC is definitely more Garnet than Orange. They're definitely number two though followed by I guess the Braves then the Panthers.

Honestly it's probably the Cardinals overall. I have lots of State and OM friends alike who are massive St. Louis fans.

FIFY. No offense but there is absolutely no way the Blues are more popular statewide than the Royals. Not even a debate really.

Yes, but the Texans are the much more vocal minority (partially due to the Cowboys' struggles).

Rangers>Astros

That's the case now. It was flip flopped about 9 years ago.

Mavs

Toughie. Mavs probably have more sheer numbers, but the Spurs' fans are more hardcore. Rockets have a massive bandwagon following, but they're largely silent these days.

True for now, but that status quo is changing more rapidly than most predicted. And during the 80s, Aggies>Longhorns

I would say the 'Boys have the most collective fans.

Florida followed by FSU than the Heat.

Ton of Heat fans right now, but you see UF and FSU bumpers, shirts, hats, flags everywhere you go in this state. It's the only two things Florida people actually seem to support in state which is frustrating to say the least. If I see one more Yankee hat from someone born in Florida I'm going to flip the heck out.

shite, forgot about the Spurs honestly. I don't keep up with NBA enough to say who has more fans perhaps but both franchises are doing really well. I actually can't believe that a team with 4(?) titles in the last decade or so has less fans than a team with 1.

The Saints and Cardinals are definitely the two most popular pro teams in the state. After them it's probably the Braves and either the Falcons or Titans.

The Grizz have to be in there somewhere too but that's mainly just north Mississippi.

Agree for the most part. I think it would be:

Cardinals
Mizzou Football
Chiefs
Rams
Blues/Mizzou Hoops
Royals
Sporting KC

Couple things at play with the Spurs.

--SA is a smaller market than Dallas or Houston.

--Even with the Spurs' continued success, there's never been a whole lot of drama around the franchise. Makes it great for their organization and hardcore/longtime Spurs fans like me appreciate that, but it also makes it hard to attract the casual fan.

Mavs and Rockets fans have their city's respective football franchises to fall back on when their hoops teams aren't doing so well. San Antonians are almost militant in their support of the Spurs, so it's just a different culture.

When it comes to MS, I feel like most people are fans of whichever is better between MSU and Ole Miss. MS is so HS football oriented it's ridiculous.
