He's a complex man. He has cited the loss in 2010, the taping of a cam shirt to the statue, and his completely fabricated idea that the corner was rolled when Alabama object of worship of the 60s, 70s, and 80s died.

He has learned to forgive and forget, though.

Yeah...that link only shows 103 games.

LINK

It's missing 1896, 1903 and 1905

Okay, let's figure out why and where. I can always contact the cite owner and we can compare and try to get the DB corrected on all the mistakes.

And?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe OP's point he was trying to make by linking that site was to show that Bama has played UGA/UF a total of 92 times, while LSU has played UGA/UF a total of 88 times. He was probbaly advocating for a few more years of bridge schedule to even things up between Bama and LSU and make things more fair for Bama

Why? Saban will retire not long after 2014 and history says we own Bama without the Bear or Saban

omebody give my noob Yankee arse the full story on why Georgia-Auburn is so much markedly more played than Bama-Auburn. I'm aware of Georgia-Auburn being the oldest SEC rivalry but don't have the full scoop on why Bama-Auburn isn't even close. What the dealio

The series was indeed suspended after the 1907 game when the schools could not come to agreement over the amount of expenses to be paid players, as well as from where officials for the game should be obtained.[5]

n 1947 the Alabama House of Representatives passed a resolution encouraging the schools to "make possible the inauguration of a full athletic program between the two schools".[6] The schools were disinclined to resume the series despite the passage of the resolution, since it did not have the effect of law. However, the Alabama congress threatened to withhold state funding from the schools unless they did resume the rivalry.

So it took the state Congress threatening to withhold funding to make us play each other again.

This demonstrates that Auburn would have been a much more natural fit in the East with their permanent opponent being Bama, and the only reason they ended up in the West was so Bama could keep that game and the Tennessee game.
