Shaun Alexander greatly disagrees.
He may have cost Miss State a back to back trip to Atlanta. That Bama/MSU game was dandy. On a 3rd and long your QB threw him a pass late in the game and he broke tackles and picked up huge yards. It broke our back. If you go back and look, had Msu won that game we go to Atlanta again,

SA was one of my favorites to ever strap it up. Not only one of the most complete and durable backs I have ever witnessed but a genuine class act off the field. I really miss watching him.

It was a pass off the trips left.
But State wasn't running the football in that game. And Madkin had three interceptions.

DBG
Tony VanZant
both #1 recruits. VanZant blew out his knee in a HS senior all star game, was never the same
you may have heard of DGB's problems

Demetrius Summers, all american 5 star top rb in the nation outta hs, could stop smoking pot holtz over looked it due to lack of talent. SOS kicked him after getting the job. He played 1 or 2 years if college ball.

Not a traditional recruit but Duron Carter for Alabama.
Heard about how awesome he was constantly.
Never played one single down.

That's different. Dude was a stud. As a true freshman looked like Emmitt Smith to me...not super flashy but super efficient. Similar to Mike Dyer for AU. He wasn't overhyped..he was just a dumbass that blew his shot and wasted his talent

Eddie Os recruits got you guys (2) cotton bowl appearances. That was when OM was complete garbage. OM was talented when he left, there's no denying that. He also beat the ever living shite out of OM last year with a shite offense. He's going to do it again this year so you might wanna hold ya tongue there smart one. Ed O is going to send a message to all future LA recruits, you leave the state and you might get embarrassed.

It'll be funny when he kills it for UAB this year and goes onto a successful NFL career from there

Nah. Dude got shot and watched two of his friends get killed and wasn't the same mentally after that. Kind of harsh to call him a bust. And he wasn't even that big of a recruit anyway, kind of a lower 4*
Tim Hawthorne has a bit of a similar story. He was injured in a car wreck that also killed his best friend on his way back to Auburn after his freshman year. The physical injury and depression from that took a heavy toll. But unlike Mack, he could have been really really special. Hawthorne is a sad story, but I have a hard time calling guys busts after dealing with situations like that at such a young age.

Fair, in that case I'll go with Marquavious Lewis. Hr was supposed to come in from JUCO and take Clowneys spit and 2 years later he left with 3ish sacks....
