To be most improved, you had to have sucked the previous year which is why I think Auburn will be the most improved defense in the SEC this year. Second year under Ellis Johnson, addition by subtraction with Holland and scrub secondary. Defensive line will still be stout so no worries there. I'll say Auburn ends up with a top 30 defense

Mississippi State, in the Dan Mullen era, has embodied the old, shitty way of SEC football, beating up on cupcakes and being a glorified Conference USA or Sun Belt team.

Let's dig a little deeper.

PPG allowed
Versus SEC and major conference teams (9 games) - 28.7 PPG
Versus lower tier opponents (4 games) - 5.9 PPG

YPG allowed
Versus SEC and major conference teams (9 games) - 407.0 YPG
Versus lower tier opponents (4 games) - 219.5 YPG

Rushing YPG allowed
Versus SEC and major conference opponents (9 games) - 153.1 YPG
Versus lower tier opponents (4 games) - 74.0 YPG

Rushing TD allowed
Versus SEC and major conference opponents (9 games) - 1.6 TDPG
Versus lower tier opponents (4 games) - 0.8 TDPG

YPC per game allowed
Versus SEC and major conference opponents (9 games) - 4.7 YPC
Versus lower tier opponents (4 games) - 2.6 YPC

Passing YPG allowed
Versus SEC and major conference opponents (9 games) - 231.7 YPG
Versus lower tier opponents (4 games) - 145.5 YPG

Completion percentage allowed
Versus SEC and major conference opponents (9 games) - 64.3%
Versus lower tier opponents (4 games) - 51.9%

Passing TD per game allowed
Versus SEC and major conference opponents (9 games) - 1.9 passing TD per game
Versus lower tier opponents (4 games) - 0.5 passing TD per game

Third down conversion percentage
Versus SEC and major conference opponents (9 games) - 39.9%
Versus lower tier opponents (4 games) - 25.2%

Hey Tornado Alley,

Why don't you talk crap about a team you can actually beat. All these stats saying how bad our defense is, then why couldn't y'all score one f ing offensive TD against us.Hell, Bowling Green and Kentucky at least scored a touchdown.

Yeah. I agree. We need to stop scheduling Ole Miss.
He's beat them 4 out of 5 times?

In terms of FEI rankings, Kentucky's defense will improve the most.

Hey hidolladawgs,

A) We lost our all-American LT, allowing your massively overrated DE (now DT) Chris Jones to camp out in the backfield. Heck, I'm 6'0, 175 and I could have sacked Bo Wallace at least twice in the Egg Bowl. God, Chris Jones is fat.

B) We're your big brother and, thus, your Super Bowl. Beating us is what drives all aspects of your program. Actually, not beating us, since y'all haven't done too much of that throughout history, but our success is what drives your program. It's okay to be second place, baby bro.

C) I bet you that if you and I fought in real life, I'd kick your arse.

D) Your women are fat.

E) People know where Oxford is.

F) I bet you use Miracle Whip.

G) We're not an embarrassment to the state of Mississippi.

H) I bet you've "accidentally" had sex with the fat roll of a Starkville plumper before and you're unashamed of it.

I) Why are you so Rebsessed?

J) Do y'all have an NFL hall of famer yet? Jackson State has more than y'all

K) I'd be willing to wager that you're fat as frick and have both early onset heart disease and the beetus.

That's a great excuse. 1 guy away from being able to score a TD. AWESOME!

Don't you hate it when you "little" brother is kicking your arse. Man that's gotta suck.

Bama will probably be most improved. A dline yhst can rush the passer for a change, cbs who now know what they are doing, and once again the best set of lbs top to bottom in the sec.

I think you operate like someone who is obsessed with their rival school. It's not like you are the only one on here like that though, so don't feel bad.

sigh

If you're an Egg Bowl outsider, don't try to butt in unless you have been granted permission by either engie, Bunty, sorantable, or pank.

Thanks.
