I’m quite happy with that. Georgia owns the West. Ask Arkansas, Ole Miss, LSU, Miss St, A&M, and Auburn how they enjoyed their games with UGA

Aggies will show you if you ever sack up and come play a game at Kyle. Beyond sad that has never happened.

Moreover, UGA is 14-18 against LSU. If a mortgage is included in their ownership, they’re in default.

Texas A&M fans couldn’t possibly be disappointed considering the past century. Bama fans will be the most disappointed for sure . All the dumbass LSU fans will but the logical ones won’t . Defense will still be rough

Bama just won the SEC, retard

I thought elephants have a good memory. Don't you remember when Bama won 2 national titles without playing in the SECCG in those years?

I'm not the retard here.

University of Mississippi. They are all in for this one season. 3 losses easily and no playoffs.

Ole Miss and LSU are a couple of teams who seem like they think they're likely to be in the playoff

One of these teams is not like the other.

Maybe LSU fans have that expectation because the football team has played in the SEC Championship Game 7 times since 2000. All those teams make a 12 team playoff field.

Ole Miss has NEVER played in a SEC Championship Game but they do have the portal king trying to catch lightning in a bottle. Kiffin doesn't seem to mind tampering with other teams rosters if he needs a player and has a relationship he can exploit. This gives them a lot of hope to start the season but free agent players don't always come together as a team.

LSU. You'd think they'd be used to mediocrity by now, but by the 5th loss this season, they'll be in tears again.

Nice try UnEvolved, but it might take us three years to lose 5 games. ala will be the one shedding Skoal-filled tears onto their overalls....

That's fine but it isn't really relevant.

Both fanbases seem to have an expectation (warranted or not) that they'll make the playoff this year. Both could easily not make it when you look at their schedules and the potential to get 3+ regular season losses (which will likely eliminate them from playoff contention).

That would leave both fanbases very disappointed given their expectations.

LSU opens the season with Southern Cal and plays Ole Miss, Alabama and Oklahoma in conference. All of those teams will be ranked in the same vicinity or ahead of LSU in the polls. They also have games like A&M and UCLA which potentially could cause difficulty. If they get 3 losses, they're probably out of the playoff.

The playoff next year is a tough accomplishment for LSU. The fans seem to think it's almost a given. That's a recipe for disappointment.

Also, what Mizzou fan has put forth unrealistic expectations? We are losing a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball. I don't think we're automatically winning 11 games every season because it happened once, nor do any other Mizzou fans I know. I do expect us to win at least 8 games, but that isn't exactly unrealistic if you look at our 2024 schedule.

True, just pointing out that their "expectation" is more delusion.

Also, I don't think most LSU fans have a playoff or bust attitude for this years team. First year QB and a new defensive staff say this may be a building year but it definitely warrants a wait and see approach.

If making the 12 team playoff every year is the baseline for success now there will be many disappointments. The pressure on coaches will be even greater at certain schools.

At least no one else will have to endure the groin kick Georgia and FSU fans experienced this year.

Almost everyone recruits well and has good coaches so it will be fun to watch whatever happens in this crazy conference.

I don't think it will be an expectation for coaches every year, but it will be somewhat like tournament expectations for NCAA basketball coaches.

1. Teams that expect to make the sweet 16 nearly every year in basketball are like teams that expect to make the tournament every year in football. There will be a small number (3-4 tops) that have that expectation. UGA and Bama are probably in that box.

2. There are teams that expect to make the tournament every year and the sweet 16 every 2-3 seasons at the worst. Those are the equivalent of teams that will expect to make the playoff every 2-3 seasons.

3. There are teams that expect to make the tournament more than half the time and expect to make the sweet 16 once a decade. Those are the equivalent of teams that expect to make the playoff once a decade or so.

4. Then there are teams that are just happy to make the playoff once a decade. Those are the equivalent of teams happy to make the playoff once every 25 years or so.

A lot of fans expectations will be the second and third groups, when the reality is probably a group down. The same is true in basketball. That gets a lot of basketball coaches fired due to disappointed fans and will do the same in football.

You obviously don't understand the term blowout.

And no, it's not what your mom should've done when your dad finished his business.

Dude, I totally forgot you guys got annihilated by a 5-win A&M last year. So make it 5 blowouts. Kelly is in that elite class of coaches that get destroyed regularly. LSU is lucky to have him.
