Has anyone been to Duke's campus? I have to say it's my favorite campus I have visited.

Anything built in the late 60s and 70s fits the ugliest category on any campus. It had to be the effects of the LSD generation.

I always liked the inside of the Perry Cafeteria.

Auburn's campus is beautiful, and I love being an Auburn student but there are definitely some buildings, especially those built in the 60's and 70's, that just look like complete dog shite, here are my choices
The good:
- Samford Hall is the most beautiful building on campus imo and also happens to be a university icon
- Ross Chemical Laboratory
- Katherine Cooper Cater Hall and the entire quad complex
- The Shelby Center, a new building which is the result of the University starting to focus resources and funding on Auburn's engineering program
The bad:
- Foy Hall (although it has undergone extensive renovations recently)
- Broun Hall
- Parker Hall, but seriously frick this eye sore of a building

Memorial Hall is the most beautiful building on campus.
The new medical center is imposing but fits well in its place on campus.
The College of Law is the last of the ugly buildings on campus. It’s currently undergoing expansion and renovation.

Dukes is the epitome of “let’s fool people into thinking we’re a seasoned Ivy League school by using medieval architecture even though the buildings aren’t even 100 years old yet”
It’s a beautiful campus to be sure but the mystique it tries to put off is as fake as it’s fanbase

Very true. 60s/70s "modern" is the worst. It seems like every campus has something that fits this category.

I mean it’s gorgeous to look at but then when you find out it’s only like 80 something years old it kind of ruins the vibe. Kind of like Cameron Indoor which is a total dump of a gym but there’s this insistence that it’s special and unique if you can look past the reality of the place. Im just too cynical to do that

I've always loved Clark Hall at the University of Alabama, a Gothic Revival-style building. Built in 1884, it's one of the first buildings rebuilt after the campus was burned during the civil war.
And I guess ten Hoor is my least favorite. It looks like an office building.
And as far as the inside of a building, Smith Hall built in 1908 for the Museum of Natural History is beautiful and unique.

I like our architecture building, but it's one of those where you either love it or hate it lol.

Yes many times....I agree it's a good campus. The first time I was on campus and went in Cameron Indoor I walked out to mid-court and looked around and the first thing I thought......Duke plays here?!! Looked like a glorified high school gym.

Truly what winning and a sense of arrogance can mask, isn’t it?

I walked hey Cameron and had no idea that was their fieldhouse. Even the councoure looks like like a small town church or something.

Kirby Smith looks like a fricking prison.
Before I was a Freshman, I took a tour of LSU's dorms. At that point, I don't think all of Kirby was open to the public, and what was, definitely should not have been. It was awful.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I see your Kirby Smith Dorm and raise you two Kirwan Towers.
Built in 1963, scheduled to be demolished in 2019:
