So, Nick was average in game 1 of 2011 and against LSU in 2010 and Les was very good kicked Nick's arse during both of those games.

quit living in the past, you'll get nowhere in life like that. 21-0. 50 yard line etc.

Not sure if this is true, considering Les said he would "honored" to play UA again. So people were talking about a potential rematch RIGHT after the game ended. The dominoes just needed to fall.

I forget who said this, but it's absolutely true:

After the Nov. 5th game Alabama was begging for a rematch with LSU, after the last game do you really think LSU wants to play Alabama again?

Absolutely no doubt about it in my mind......a resounding Hell Yes.....they would have welcomed it the day after if it could have happened....The players and coaches realize the didn't represent themselves or LSU the way that they should have.

Grow up people. 11/5 was a great game between two very evenly matched teams. Both teams made lots of mistakes and LSU got the better of Alabama in over time. In the BCSCG Alabama made very few mistakes and Alabama won.

One point I have yet to see talked about...CLM tends to make at least one huge bonehead mistake every year with his game management. This year, he waited until the last game of the year to let it fly. As an LSU fan you had to worry when Les would stick his foot back in that bucket, didn't you?

Both wins were impressive. One had a bigger prize.

By the way, the question was most impressive. Not most important. I see that as a big difference. Most impressive would be LSU going into BDS and pulling out a win. Most important was Bama beating LSU in BCSNC since it won Bama the crystal.

The fact that Bama fans actually believe that LSU would be too scared to play them a third time because of one bad game is further proof that you aren't dealing with a rational Bama fan base right now. As I suggested before, wait at least a few months before trying to discuss this on the SECr.

They'd be crazy not to want a rematch. LSU laid an egg, they are a much better team than they were in the MNC game. Bama played well. But LSU didn't show up, and that wouldn't happen again.

Only way I can think of it, iI always golf with a good friend, we both shoot in the mid 80's. This game was like having that day where I shot an 80 and he shot a 105.

Both teams were evenly matched, one played better than average and the other had bad timing and blew up on the wrong night. shite happens.

From my seats LSU lazily jogged through warmups, had no intensity from start to finish, and by the third quarter fans were leaving. Not to mention the horrific game plan implemented by Miles and Co...but I'll take your word for it, they wanted to play again.

They didn't even want to play in that game, the National Championship.

Bottom line, Alabama capitalized on it's opportunities, not only in that game but also the season as a whole.

Deal with it.

LSU's win was very impressive, they beat an evenly matched team on the road in a true slobber knocker. That is a far more impressive win than blowing out some team in a post season game on a neutral field. I mean come on, that team Bama beat in the BCSCG had no offense and was lame at covering kicks. How could beating them ever be viewed as impressive?

Edit: then to than

Excellent post by a rational Bama fan. If only you could fix some of the chicken little LSU posters over on the rant.

Bama was the better team in 2011. We should have won the first game but didnt make a couple of plays.Props to LSU for making the plays when needed. This LSU team is one of the top 3 or 4 in the past ten years.

Good thing is theyre not losing much and will only get better.Next year LSU is gonna be the best team in the country by a good margin.I have no problem saying that.Hopefully we will have some young guys step up and will be competitive.

Either way 2011 is over you lost to a better team .Get your head out of your arse and deal with it.Next year is your year dont funk it up.

21-0 > 9-6.

The majority of the country felt like Alabama gave that one away. Shutting an opponent like LSU out in New Orleans....that says a lot. Everything was on the line in that game.

I agree. LSU was a solid quarterback away from something special. They didn't have to have a Andrew Luck, RG3, etc. type guy. They just needed someone who was a "legitimate" quarterback that was efficient.

ETA: Offensively, I felt like LSU was ending the regular season on fumes. Aside from the Ole Miss game, LSU had glaring offensive problems (mainly quarterback issues) that were covered up by Tyrann Mathieu punt returns and awesome defense.

Congratulations to both Alabama and LSU though. Those were easily the two best teams in the country hands down.

LSU absolutely wants to play Alabama again. And I think everyone would agree we have no clue how a 3rd game would turn out. Hell, no one could have predicted how Game 2 turned out. That's the great thing about football.
