Mizzou will finish the season with a worse rank than A&M had last year, at #5. IF tRant wants to spin Mizzou making it out of the East as their finest achievement to oust A&M's 2012 run.. then so be it.

Spin it?

Missouri is actually playing for an SEC title. What the hell was A&M playing for this time last season?

It's not even close.

Because making it out of the East is so commendable.

I say A&M in year one because Mizzou got really lucky with the timing of their schedule. They managed to catch several teams after they'd lost their best offensive player. This helped Mizzou greatly in their wins over Georgia (without Gurley and Marshall) and Florida. However, Mizzou did also get quality wins over Ole Miss, Vandy, and A&M.

Making it to the SEC Championship is, regardless of division.

I would say that the 2012 Aggies had a more impressive run than that Carolina team that got rocked by Cam in Atlanta. Mizzou's run this year, maybe not, but winning the division isn't the only thing to factor.

The west is overrated. The more trash those fans spew the more obvious it becomes that they are trying to muddy the water.

How the hell could anyone say Aggies had a better run last year than what Mizzou has done this year?

Tough to say.

TAMU 2012 was definitely a far, far better team, though. Arguably the country's best by season's end.

This argument is getting old. Mizzou played 4+ games without our Senior Captain starting QB. I guess Mizzou's injuries still don't matter, just like last year though, right?

Mizzou's currently highest ranked team they beat this season? A&M @ #22.

But I guess beating the East makes up for that.

Lol a TAMU team clearly worse than its 2012 form is Mizzou's best win.

Nevertheless there's "no question" about whose run was better.

I think we should sharpen the issue a bit.

It's obviously fair to say that playing for a championship is better than not.

So in terms of what Mizzou will achieve this year, yes, they had a "better run" than 2012 TAMU.

So I won't conflate this topic with which team is better: 2012 TAMU or 2013 Mizzou.

BTW, does anyone want to make an opposing argument to that?

Mizzou's season

Texas A&M will to stick it to Texas during 1st SEC season
Plus catching coaches off gaurd with JJF & new HC
Doesn't trump Mizzou's season this year

Chamionships always trump none anyways
