Thinking Speedy was in New Orleans when this happened is dumb and very wishful thinking but clearly is not true. He clearly hangs out with these type of people and to think his good name is being dragged in the mud is also dumb.
I would not be surprised if offical information comes out or an arrest is made in 2-3 weeks.

1) We acknowledge that there is a legal situation playing out.
2) We are all going to have to wait for the process to play out and that timing is something that no media member has control over.
3) We have not named any names, or alluded to anyone. Nor are we going to speculate on who may be involved.
4) If what we have learned from credible sources is true, this legal situation could involve a Texas A&M football player. Obviously for the player involved, we hope it's untrue.
At this time, this is all we know and all we are going to say until more information is available -- good or bad.

I'm not sure how it is wishful thinking when there is bountiful evidence of it, but then again you are the one who believes there are more gay people than straight people in the world with HIV. You clearly can't be reasoned with.

Last night it was a significant player who fit speedy's description and it was definitely bad for A&M. Now it's just a player being questioned.
He is easing into the transition that will eventually allow him to dismiss this with minimal blowback.
