without the NASCAR-SEC fans, would there even be a "pro wrestling" show on tv?

Not a bad idea. Beating each other with sticks does have an allure.

Lacrosse is really underrated. I was flipping through channels the other day and stopped on a lacrosse game for awhile. Pretty entertaining and I don't even really know any of the rules. I'm not sure how soccer, hockey or even baseball are more popular.

What if the SEC dropped equestrian? Could it pick up wrestling?

Typical comment from people who are actually gay themselves and too pussy to ever actually try the sport. The last thing you are thinking about when wrestling is anything even remotely sexual.

One of my favorite sports. For those unfamiliar, the NCAA finals are on ESPN or ESPN2 every March, so you can check it out.

High school wrestling is great too. If you get a chance to go to a dual match between two rivals, or two highly ranked teams, check that out as well.

I love the sport. My son wrestled in college and in Europe with a squad from the U.S. (Freestyle and Greco - Olympic Style - much different and tougher than HS/College).

If the U.S. would incorporate how the rest of the world wrestles, it would be much larger in my opinion. We pussified it (made it gay-ish) here. Everything is on the mat. Everywhere else in the world, you make points on throws, the weight of those throws, and turning your opponent.

Congrats to Mizzou. Keep it up.

Like freestyle and greco but folkstyle is not pussified it is physical as hell just does not allow dangerous throws. I got a kid knocked unconscious from a teammate launching a 5 point throw this year. Kid has severe concussion issues two months later. Those who have ever actually tried wrestling just laugh at all the gay jokes and people who do not understand the sport. They are just show their ignorance of a great and tough sport.
