Oh well, as always, time will tell.

Ironically, the closest friends of mine and my wife's since we got stationed in OK is a Mizzou couple, so we've gotten to know y'all's culture a little better the past few months. Couldn't have picked a better former big12 conference member to head to the SEC with

What's Mizzou's team looking like for 2012?

Fetal position in the corner calling for mommy. shite-fire, they gotta play in the SEC.(end sarcasm).

We will go as far as Franklin can take us. He missed most of Spring ball after shoulder surgery. By all accounts, Berkstresser(back-up) looked like a deer in the headlights. If Franklin stays (relatively) healthy, I see an 8, maybe 9 win season. If not, could be ugly, real ugly. Headed to Spring game tomorrow, and hopefully will have a better feel.

I just want to clarify again that I don't think Mizzou should sit in the fetal position, I actually think they can be a solid team in the SEC especially now since recruits from STL and KC are staying in Missouri. All I said is they should get an A for confidence. Didn't say they suck, didn't say anything like that just that I find some of their comments odd. That is all. I am from Missouri, all my friends are Mizzou fans so I will cheer for them unless we somehow meet in Atlanta.

So the best plan of action is to scrap everything that got you to where you are now and start over at square 1 while entering the best football conference in the land?

Not at all, but you had better be making plans on adjusting it or you'll end up like Custer.

The spread isn't going to work in this conference unless you have a Cam Newton or Tim Tebow at qb. It might be successful against lower tier conference opponents, but you aren't going to win consistently against the upper half of the league. Both AU and UF won championships with a spread style offense, and look how quickly they scrapped it.

Hey, fellow Capester!! To be honest, at first I found some of the comments odd too. But then I thought about the questions that generated those comments. I wouldn't expect them to say they're scared of the move. I'd be disappointed if they did. They're going to stick with what's worked for them in the past, and make their adjustments as they go. If they said anything other than what they said, then they'd be skewered for running scared. It's sort of a can't win. Plus, this is spring ball. It's a warm up. I'd guess they'll make a few adjustments and thrown in some new plays this summer.

The LSU fans have been very welcoming for the most part, and I'll be cheering for them a lot!

Mizz and aTm will be fine. Don't change your style of play. The speard can be good and hard to defend but only time will tell. Welcome to the best confrence in the nation. LSU fan here and was still happy bama won last year instead of out of confrence. SEC baby SEC.

Franklin is no Cam Newton or Tim Tebow, but he is about as close as you can get to simulating their style. It is hard to stop a spread team when the QB can run as well as a HB.

I'm excited to see how Franklin will do this season, assuming the shoulder surgery was a success and he comes back healthy. He was only a sophomore last year, I'd expect him to be better as a junior. It will be interesting to see how the upgrade in competition affects him.
