You have to feel a little awkward, as a Texass fan, hitting up a thread like this at 22:30 at night on a Sunday to trash Missouri on an SEC message board.

Remember, Mizzou' s best years are not as good as Texas' worst years according to your out of reality former old coot AD Deloss Dodds.

You all imploded two conferences. How's that working out for you these days? I'm sure you are loving the road trips to nowhere Texas, Iowa, kansas, West Virginia and hot vacation destination Oklahoma....

Mizzou has ranked higher than Texas in 3 of its 5 years since the move in a much harder conference while having the pleasure of visiting the beautiful campuses of our SEC brethren.

I would not trade Aimes, Lawrence, Lubbock, Stillwater, Norman, Austin, Manhattan fricking kansas for

Columbia SC, Athens Georgia, Lexington KY, Gainsville, FL, Knoxville and Nashville TN for anything in the world at this point.

Outside the move up in conference zip code and obvious financial gains we have found non backstabbing friends here. A family.

If you think for a second Mizzou has struggled to f8nd it's place and wants for the old Big 12 you are sadly and sorely mistaken

Yes, you will never screw Mizzou, Colo, Nebraska or A&M ever again.

Guess your stuck with Tech. Hope your shots are up to date......no not really.

No, we turned down a Jr membership from the big 10 and the Huskers took it. They didn't get full membership money for several years. Mizzou got full membership in the SEC on Day ONE. However even IF it were true we got rejected by the big 10...it was a blessing in disguise once we learned the SEC was a possibility.

I feel bad for Nebraska honestly. They were fighting the good fight against the Texas block along with Colorado, aTm and Mizzou.

It's pretty telling that all the institutions in the Big 12 with the clout and cache as programs to make a move did, in fact, do so when that decision presented itself.

That was an indictment on the Texas AD at that moment in time.

I feel bad for our former Big 8 brothers and sisters like Iowa State and kansas State. I actually feel bad for West Virgina, they were forced into that mess but deserve better. Little sympathy for Okie State because Oklahoma and Oklahoma State could have saved out old Big 8 if they didn't vote with the old Texas SWC block on some things. You reap what you sow as they say...

I know some of you hate us/ hate we are here/ but I have never felt you don't have our back when its all said and done and that's a pretty cool feeling and one we, Mizzou fans, haven't had since the Big 8/SWCmerger in the early 90's

bullshite. A&M and Nebraska voted WITH Texas to NOT have a conference network, to have unequal revenue sharing and to allow schools to keep and sell their third-tier TV rights.

What a load of shite.

quote:

Before Weiberg helped the Big Ten launch the Big Ten Network, and before Weiberg helped the Pac-10/12 launch the Pac-12 Network, he tried to talk his Big 12 constituents into a Big 12 Network. Tried to tell them that a conference television channel would produce financial bounty and exposure galore.

Weiberg never could sell it to enough Big 12 schools. The rich — Texas, OU, Nebraska and Texas A&M — figured they were better off keeping their options open. Figured they could do better on their own, with school-specific media-rights deals.

quote:

Former Big 12 commissioner Kevin Weiberg expressed frustration when he left his job the summer of 2007, saying that the issue could potentially prove to be divisive for the league's growth.

But with the Big 12's bylaws requiring a super majority of nine votes to overturn any league funding policy, it was difficult to imagine any scenario where the bloc of the "haves" that includes Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas A&M would ever be outvoted.

So did Missouri as a way to self-sustain once the writing was on the wall.

Why would Nebraska opt into a JR membership in the B1G and aTm and Mizzou leave in a heartbeat to the SEC if the bread was buttered so well for them as far as 3rd tier rights in the Big 12?

Colorado abstained from the vote because they were done with Texass LONG before Mizzou, aTm and Nebraska gave up on your sorry asses.

Texas overplayed its hand and now the Longhorn network is a financial failure for ABC/Disney while Mizzou and aTm helped bolster the most successful conference network in college sports. Even Nebraska has now bought into the B1G network enough as a JR member to start pulling in the financial rewards. Don't lie, you get the SEC Network on your first tier while they secretly moved the LHN to the 2nd tier. Its hilarious how much this has blown up in Texasss face.

You destroyed 2 conferences in 20 years. People are tired of y'all and have no desire to welcome you into try and do the same. The SEC sure as frick doesn't need you, the B1G would laugh at your strong arm bullshite. Maybe the PaC would take you....don't know, don't care.

frick you for what you did to the awesome Big 8 and really college football in general.

Here's hoping you can keep your B12 alive and limping along for several more decades. I get a fair amount of enjoyment watching the clown show. I'm especially happy about KU and OU being trapped there by their little brothers while Mizzou rakes in the SEC cash and exposure.

I notice that you skipped right over A&M and Nebraska being very anti-conference network and pro-unequal revenue sharing... until Texas got a $300 million contract from ESPN.

How did Texas ruin the Southwest Conference? "frick you" will not suffice as an answer.

Missouri voted that way. I noticed you skipped over that convenient fact.

There is literally no one out side of Austin Texas and or loyal/biased writers towards UT that think your money play by Deloss Dodds didnt implode the Big 12.

No one in the current Big 12 believes in your institution as a conference leader or a benevolent factor in the stability of the conference. West Virgina regretted its move immediately but had nowhere else to go at that point.

Texas is and has been a cancer in every conference it has been involved with. That's an uncomfortable fact that you all may need to deal with now that cable TV revenue models are changing.

You are simply emoting now.

It's funny how you said "frick You" to Texas for "destroying" the Big 8, but in the same breath, you say you despise all the Big 8 towns.

You're all over the friggin' map. That's what happens when you don't know shite.

Hey, dumbass... You were trying to move to the Big 10 before the Longhorn Network was even conceived.

You are on an SEC website trashing Mizzou on a late Sunday night.

I don't despise the old Big 8 towns. I wouldn't trade them for our new family. When you move up its not surprising you have better neighbors.....

Mizzou and atm tried to stick it out and hold it together and you sips thought you were Notre Dame with the LHN.

Woopss...

laughable.

Mizzou has had a more successful football program than Texas since 2007. Those are facts. Mizzou is an SEC program now.

Enjoy those apples.

That fact you Texas fans think Missouri caused the "problem" is probably the same reason no one wants you in their conference.

How do these fatass Texas cucks not realize how they single-handedly destroyed the big 12, yet every single program even outside the big 12 despises them and their arrogance?

Mizzou belonged and still belongs in the big 12 geographically and it's sad that Texas had to end it for 4 longtime members, including a&m in the SWC. It's true that the SEC does have a much better football atmosphere: we'd all rather visit Gainesville, Athens, Fayetteville, even Lexington for tailgating than Ames, Lawrence, Waco, and Manhatten.

If you phaggots finally admitted that it was singlehandedly Texas's failed administration as to why the big 12 imploded, we'd maybe be willing to negotiate and join back in.

LMFAO, just kidding. Everything is bigger in Texas, including egos and vaginas. Fist yourselves, degenerates.

Texas athletics has been an absolute embarrassment to the entire country for nearly a decade, and you STILL wonder why. Bigger has been program than Tennessee, truly pathetic.
