Watching the 2007 Missouri Kansas game has made me remember what a heated game it could be. No one gives a frick about the Battle Line Rivalry (Arkansas-Missouri). Just look at Faurot Field minutes before the game last year.

Missouri and Kansas have played 120 times in football with Missouri holding a 3 game lead. The record is disputed though.

Missouri and Kansas even fought their own civil war.

Missouri and Kansas renewing their series on Thanksgiving would also allow Arkansas and LSU to move their game back to Thanksgiving weekend. That game was always fantastic on Thanksgiving Weekend.

A&M can play Sam Houston State or one of those other shite Texas schools they like to play. I'm sick of watching them get killed every Thanksgiving

Missouri has asked to renew the game, but Kansas refuses to play Missouri. The but hurt is strong. Frick Kansas

I've always wanted to still play Kansas and Illinois in both football and basketball if possible. Some Mizzou fans don't agree, some do. Mizzou was the only program willing to still continue the rivalry after we moved to the SEC. Kansas was so butthurt about being stuck in the little 12 that all rational decision making went out the door.

And I'm pretty sure I read recently that the cuck known as Bill Self would do anything possible to not play Mizzou again.

Well Kansas needs to nut up then. This isn't meant to be a shot at Missouri. I just think it's unfortunate that the two don't play anymore and that Arkansas and LSU don't play on Thanksgiving Weekend.

Kansas also had it written in the Big 12/SEC challenge contract that Kansas shall not be paired with Missouri under any circumstances. What a bunch of butt hurt bitches

That's pretty sorry. Maybe Bill being such a pussy is why his team shits the bed in the tournament more often than not.

I agree. I always looked forward to the LSU/Ark. game on the Friday during Thanksgiving weekend. Was always a great game to watch. The 2002 game hurt me the worst

I was not aware of that. I thought eventually they would meet up in the Little 12/SEC Challenge. I'm over them at this point. Don't need them. Don't want them.

I always hated playing Arkansas on Good Friday, but I hate playing A&M on Thanksgiving day even more. A&M should be playing Texas that day.

To be fair, Faurot Field has looked like that for every game since the poop swastika and would have looked the same if not worse for this hypothetical Kansas game

WVU and Virginia Tech renewed their rivalry. I don't even care if KU and Mizzou play on football. Play in basketball damnit. That was always one I never missed.

And Self can go frick himself. His butt frustration from his elite 8 record doesn't need to ruin a great rivalry.

Self's butt hurt is deep seated. He got passed over for Quin Snyder as HBBC and never got over it.

What do Mizzou fans think about the battle line rivalry 10 years from now? I'm confident it will be a pretty good rivalry by then.

First of all A&M and LSU aren't playing on Thanksgiving anymore.

Secondly go frick yourself.

I agree. There's always been a fair amount of zest to MO V ARK, much more so in basketball than football just because it was played more often. There were some good Norm Stewart vs Nolan Richardson battles through the years. Football will get there, but it will take time.

I'd be cool with playing kansas again, but not at the price of begging them or kissing toupee Bill's behind. I mean Mizzou would've killed ku in FB and the opposite in BB since MU left, so it wouldn't have been terribly competitive the last 5 yrs.

They need to ditch the contrived, corporate sponsored "Battle Line Rivalry" name though.

So close to kick-off that none of the opposing fans were there either?

Yeah I think Arkansas fans would rather be playing LSU that weekend. It's just impossible to get excited for a game where the teams have met only 8 times unless both are having good seasons.
