Won't fix shite at Mizzou

FTR we didn't need fixing on the defensive side of the ball, we needed to backfill the DC position.

TCU gave up 52 to Texas Tech, 45 to Kansas State, and 49 to Oklahoma State just this season. You guys will get raped next year and fall even further to obscurity.

Mizzou will have the best defensive line in the SEC next year. I doubt we give up more than 30 to anyone next year.

Oh brother......I know this is difficult to understand but there are a multitude of reasons for this; talent, TCU's offense taking a full minute to score every time they have the ball, etc. but I'm glad you're not letting specifics get in the way of your bullshite.

Maybe in the first half, but that's still stretching.

TCU lost like 8 guys to injury on their defense last year. Plus he was a co-coordinator, everyone knows Patterson runs the defense.

TCU had the #3 scoring defense in the Big 12.

It still kills me how people do not understand the different style of play in different conferences. Blockheads...

Also, for reference Mizzou had the #6 scoring defense in the country. We have Odom, our D doesn't need to be "fixed".

Texas Aggies may be hiring Meachum from them as OC.

TCU probably thinks it sux to be in a league that doesn't get network payouts.

By "different style of play" do you mean "ignoring one side of the game entirely"?

sounds like Odom is getting rid of the "problem" coaches over there..

cleaning house on the O-side was job one.

getting rid of the #BLM idiot S@C coach was job two.

now if he can make a DLine coach hire, he will be in position to getter done..

Doesn't that hurt your argument?

I kind of agree, but your defensive scoring stats don't really tell the whole story. I mean look at this: LINK

You played 2 competent offenses all year, and they both scored points.

so then he'll be doing the same thing, managing the D personnel while Odom sets the scheme..

if the guys competent he'll do fine.

A bit surprised no one has mentioned Cross is from St. Louis and was an all conference safety for Mizzou in the mid 90's.

without getting into the pissing matches...

Cross is from the St Louis area, the Hazlewood area. Played one year at IL, then transferred to Mizzou.

Played safety for Mizzou and is still the #2 all time tackler in Mizzou history. Was all Big 8 2cd team his Jr. year and All Big 12 2cd team his senior year. That season he was a teammate of some guy named Barry Odom. His knees were so bad he rarely practiced, just played in games, which is probably what kept him out of the NFL.

Became a GA under Larry Smith at Mizzou, went on to several college jobs and a long stint with the Buffalo Bills before coming back to college.

While being named DC & linebacker coach at Mizzou, Barry Odom will still be heavily involved with the defense. Also, come his defense at TCU to the other Big 12 schools, not to the SEC schools. They just play a different style of ball over there.

Should be an outstanding hire.

When reporters asked Gary Patterson about losing his defensive coordinator, he said "I have a defensive coordinator? How long has he been here?"
