This should be a good hire for Mizzou, probably the coach they had their heart set on from the beginning of the process as well.
correct, Pinkels "coaching tree" so far is less than impressive for the years he has in as a HC, I'm sure he would like for that to change. Stec leaving and Odom coming back could both play a part in that.

Logan and Augusta could both play nose, but like I said...I highly doubt that's the direction we are going.

Posted by notsince98 Odom is not bringing a 3-4. Wed don't have any 350 lbs NTs other than AJ Logan.

You can do a lot worse then someone who has extensive experience coaching and recruiting at your university and who knows the system that the HC likes to run.
Yeah, Odom's Memphis defense got lit up by BYU in the bowl game... but they won and BYU has lit up a few opponents this year. Odom should be another solid hire for Mizzou.

Meh...it's a bowl game. Most of the time they are crapshoots.
His improvement of that defense was nothing short of amazing.
I'm very pleased with the hire.

Good hire but coaches jumping ship to go to Missouri State is not a good sign. At all.
You serious Clark? Learn something about Mizzou before you post.

Memphis held BYU to 1.8 yards a rush, 4.7 yards a play, 6-20 on third down, 48% completion percentage! and forced four turnovers. BYU on the other hand forced five turnovers, scored a TD on an interception return, and scored TDs on drives of 15 and 26 yards after Memphis turnovers. In the two over times BYU's offense had four yards and an interception in six plays. What I'm saying is that Memphis's defense didn't play so bad yesterday.

You are right. Someone else posted that yesterday. They scored on a INT return and several short fields.
