I know these Yankees haven't searched for a football coach for awhile, but you would think they had just invented fire with how much bs is being spewed all over this place right now. Let's establish some ground rules
1. No one has any "sources"
2. Missouri is not issuing out dozens of "smokescreens"
3. Their wishlist is a complete pipe dream
So let's walk this through:
1. They must have head coaching experience
Potential candidates: tons
AND
2. Must have SEC experience
Potential candidates: current and former SEC HCs only
AND
3. Must have won shite in the SEC
Potential candidates: SEC East and West winners as HC (even though some think Richt is inadequate bc he hasn't been winning the conference outright )
Potential Candidates:
Nick Saban
Jim McElwain
Gus Malzahn
Mark Richt
Les Miles
Gene Chizik
Steve Spurrier
Urban Meyer
Phil Fulmer
Houston Nutt
Tommy Tuberville
That's going back to 1999.
Of those 11 men, zero are actual potential candidates.
So pump the brakes, hire Odom, and call it a day. Kim Anderson 2.0
Oh and 28-3

Pinkel screwed Mizzou with his caving in with the sjw and players. What good coach would want to come in knowing the AD and players would throw anyone under the bus not even knowing a situation. One would have to be a major Beta personality to coach there now and that type of person doesnt win ballgames and will lead to a program implosion. Pinkel and the AD set the program back, badly. Imho, of course.

Trust me, I agree the content of the OP is dumb. Hence the post
I am simply rewording the ridiculous demands you have for your next coach. It will be an AAC HC, coordinator or internal hire

I think you're reading it completely wrong but with an air of certainty unable to be matched by many.
Kudos.

He's in second place right now.

Maybe i am. But if i were a coach, after seeing how all that went down, i would be more inclined to take another job at another school. Perhaps Mizzou will go the AC hire and that could turn out well, finding a diamond in the rough.

Every fanbase does that though. Having larger expectations than fits your program is part of the coaching hire process.

I think it was a perfect storm. If Pinkel doesn't have a career-ending diagnosis at that point (and presumably bad news from an MRI), I think the situation plays out differently from a coach/Athletic department standpoint. In other words, I don't think it's a replicable event.
And the issues between the faculty and the UM system were a driving force through the process of the firing of the President (maybe moreso than the BLMers). There's really not a lot of lingering effects on campus from what I can tell (except whitey got elected in the latest SGA election).

Perhaps there isnt on campus anymore, and that would be a positive. However the national and regional perception is not very good. And often times, perception becomes reality.

Eh. Bringing in a coach is a bit of a sales job. I'm not at all worried about that aspect of the process.

The part of the equation you are missing is pinkels shitastic coaching of offense was on display this season. Of course a good coach could easily outperform pinky at running an offense, that's no real accomplishment, but the latter question about the Admin supporting you in a similar "sticky situation" should stop any serious candidate from even considering the job.
The shrill, ugly, loonbat com teacher that hates the first amendment is still on campus, that alone should scare away any right minded individual.

Pinkel's shittastic offensive coaching scored 42 in the 2013 SECCG

Thank you. There was more problems going on other than the race stuff. That's probably why the conservatives in this state aren't really talking about it or bashing MU for how they handled it. Maybe the guy was a Democrat

Apparently there is a big splash plan A and a plan B that will make people happy. Neither is Odom. Kilgore says Odom will be named coach at Memphis either today or tomorrow.

Plan A is Fedora
Plan B is Richt

Now we get A, B, or Odom.

Now we get A, B, or Odom. Odom stays on with A or B or lands somewhere else. He won't have any trouble I would think.

It's simpler than that.
Plan A happens and Odom stays cause it's the tits.
Plan B is Odom.
The natives were restless because there was worry about plan A and Memphis killing plan B.
Either Plan A is a go, or Odom will be our next coach.
Win-win IMO.
We'll all be happy, because either way an A+ staff is being assembled.

Tier One big fish:
1. Richt
2. Patterson
3. Fedora
4. Herman
5. Petrino, only with Odom and/or Kul...Natty incoming boys. I can die in peace with a smile on my face and M-I-Z still on my lips. Can you imagine what Petrino would like to do to the SEC? He has the world's biggest chip on his shoulder. Let him chase every skirt in the athletic department...I don't care. No more lying to the bosses. Just WIN.
Tier Two smaller fish:
Odom
Bobo
Taggert
Riley
Calhoun
Babers
Wells
Dykes
This group is the very Mizzou-type of hire. There is some talent in Tier Two. But can they get us to the next level???
Lol Tier Two!

Herman had the offer this entire time, and he finally declined. Odom always knew he'd get the job if that happened and that's why he turned down Memphis.
