Missouri is the only football program in the Southeastern Conference to receive a second consecutive NCAA Public Recognition Award for maintaining an Academic Progress Rate that ranks in the top 10 percent nationally.

During the last seven years of Pinkel’s tenure, Missouri has graduated 111 of 115 players (Kony Ealy, Sheldon Richardson, Blaine Gabbert are three who left early and didn't graduate yet) and 11 seniors next season — Christian Brinser, David Butler, Stephen Carberry, Anthony Gatti, Matt Hoch, Jimmie Hunt, Marcus Murphy, Mitch Morse, Darvin Ruise, Lucas Vincent and Darius White — already will have earned degrees.

The full APR report for all teams will be released May 14. Teams that fail to reach 930 could be penalized with scholarship reductions or postseason bans.

With the new upcoming changes to APR for teams to be eligible for postseason play, it's time to fiddle with some academic records for the bottom third of the SEC to qualify for postseason play

Probably not, the NCAA just made changes to APR basically your schools 2 year average must meet a certain score, and right now UT's probably wouldn't and the NCAA won't negotiate on these matters period. (See UCONN 2013)

Yes, so was Arkansas, Bert has made improvements to help the APR score, mainly giving a shite about the APR score.

Butch announced in October that VOLS are in the clear.

quote:

Each summer the NCAA releases APR data for every school. In June, the Vols’ scores from 2008-09 through 2011-12 were released. They scored a 924. The NCAA’s threshold for participating in postseason play is 900, but next year will rise to 930. The Vols’ bowl eligibility for next season was in doubt, pending the 2012-13 score.

After practice on Tuesday, Tennessee head coach Butch Jones put those doubts to rest.

“I’m really, really proud to tell you we’ve been informed by the NCAA that we have made the APR,” Jones said. “And we’ll have no APR issues moving forward. This is an issue since Day 1 since we walked in here as a coaching staff, that our opponents have used against us in the recruitment process. We were informed by the NCAA that we made that.”

So, MS2, what you're saying is that your football players are a hell of a lot more intelligent than you are.

We were but then we hired Mizzou's APR guy. APR is all about attrition - guess who never filed waivers for transfers that wouldn't ding our APR?

Actually it will, but it won't destroy a one year score.

Yeah, I'd rather see improvement on the field.

You're not bothering me. I'm well aware that your IQ is well below that of the average football player.
