Pbbbbt- fine. I was enjoying poking the bear now and again but I'll be nice, it's getting tiring a bit anyway. I love you Mizzou.

Mattloc,

Glad to hear. Congrats to bama, they really deserved it. Very impressed. Had a hope mizzou might win, but as it turns out, it was just a fool's hope. Best of luck in the playoffs. Will be rooting for you all.

Met many cool bama fans in 2012 in como. Met many awesome ole miss fans in 2008 in como. The georgia fans i ran into in 2012 and this year were fun to talk to. Went to knoxville a month ago and met a ton of great vols fans. Planning to go to lsu in two years. The SEC is a real blessing to be a part of.

I can certainly understand some folks may not want us in the SEC, and others may never accept us. And that's okay, because the SEC is really their conference. Hopefully my kids and grandkids will have a different outlook, but for me its still year 3. You cant manufacture acceptance. Nor would i not want to earn our place.

I have found that you get what you go looking for in this life. A handshake and a smile go a long way. I look forward to meeting cool fans at every SEC school before i'm put out to pasture. Again, what a blessing to be in the SEC. please take my word for it, there's been a profound change in our state over the past three years! Please forgive us for chanting SEC during conference games. We're learning. We'll get there. Damn is this fun!

I was at the game and - like most other Mizzou fans - was surrounded by Bama fans. The ones I encountered were very gracious and complimentary of our football team.

After the game, when my wife and I were waiting to board the MARTA train, a Bama fan wished us a safe trip back to Missouri. On the train a gentleman in Bama garb gave up his seat for my wife. Finally, on the hotel shuttle a lady said Mizzou fans were the nicest ones she'd met. She followed that by saying WV fans were the worst she'd seen LOL.

My wife and I take the whole representative thing seriously so the last comment really made us feel good. Bama not being kU and us not being Aubie probably helped things too...

The Gumps showed themselves to be a very enthusiastic and classy fan base. We were impressed. Congrats Bama, I hope you guys roll from here on out...

he used to be an Aggie, of course he's a classy guy. ;)

you can't "used to be an aggie." he is an aggie alum, and therefore will always be. it's ok to have an aggie running thangs, tho. we're good employers.

eta... you can even spot his class ring if you look close in that pic. he'll take off the yellow and black, but at the end of the day that aggie ring will always be on his finger.

I was hoping to find plenty of reasons to hate you gumps, but unfortunately y'all didn't give me any... Very welcoming and friendly. It was a pleasure

Of course, he will be proud of his degrees and time with Aggie Nation, but don't try to confuse that with thinking he wanted TAMU to beat Mizzou this year. He has moved on and so should you.

The Missouri fans were great. Sorta bland, need a few more characters, but very nice and knowledgeable.

If Missouri would ditch that awful logo and go back to a golden M they would be SEC ready. Especially compared to recent teams like Arkansas that have been drunk stumbling around the SEC bar for 20 years now. Those dumbasses will never get it right.

With respect, being an Aggie is more than just about sports. I don't know who we wanted to win the game this year, but that's irrelevant to what I'm talking about. We aren't a "nation" or "fanbase," the Aggies are a family, of which all alumni will always be a part. I would be willing to bet anything that if you asked him if he were an Aggie, he wouldn't hesitate to say yes.

I'm not jealous or upset that he went to work for Mizzou. I don't blame him in fact, the amount of pull Perry has on the board is disgusting. I'm happy for him, but don't mistake his moving from Aggieland as moving on from being an Aggie.

I am not doubting or questioning his "family" or love for aTm. But this is a sports message board, and we were talking about a sporting event in which Bowden was supporting his new home. And some Aggie felt the need to say......but but but he is an Aggie.

Hey MasterAg, pssst, I'm going to let you in on a little secret:

All alums love their schools, are proud of their schools, and remain attached to them. And all schools have their little rites, traditions, and haunts that every alum - and only an alum - knows about.

I met a lot of Aggies in my military career and they were all good guys. Hard workers and team players.

However, one thing a lot of them didn't seem to understand is that reverence for one's alma mater isn't an Aggie thing. It's a school thing. I had to suffer through more than one nostalgia session when an Aggie would dreamily stare off into space, recalling the magic of midnight yell practice, Dat Nguyen, boot shining sessions, etc. It was ridiculous...

In short, stop condescending and give it a rest.
