You dont exactly see my point... when you play in the west you have to play tough games week in and week out. By the time a&m and arkansas played you in 2014 they had just faced each other, state, ole miss, alabama, then auburn. You dont think they were beat up and enough loses to where they'd given up by then? Come on man leading up to the a&m game you played vandy, kentucky, then had a bye and had the eastern division championship on your mind. Mizzou wouldn't last in the west.

There's so much more that goes into these matchups that what really matters is that mizzou has yet to win a big game.

UGA would have had 0 western division championships too in the last 2 years. Same could be said of any team in the east.

That's exactly my point. The east has been so down the past years that winning it isn't exactly much of an accomplishment. I'm not discrediting the program or pinkel because he's done a fine job with all he's done but until mizzou wins a big game, I don't think they could be considered a powerhouse in the sec.

Who played in the SECCG last year?

Aaaand who got beat by a 7-6 South Carolina team?

Are you really dumb enough to think the beat team always wins the division? And who lost to 4-8 Indiana? All of yall want to ignore that.

So then you admit South Carolina was the better team in 2011 and 2012 when UGA went to Atlanta?

Its pretty clear the Georgia has the biggest "bitch" per poster ratio on the SECr.

USC posters are pretty damned good for the most part.

People keep saying this but did anyone really say this? I find it very hard to believe.

You must not have been on tRant in 2012. Or 2013. Or 2014 up until the last week. Or 2015 up until now (at least if you're a UGA fan).

LSU definitely has this title, but Georgia holds their own.

Yeah winning the SEC is a big accomplishment but the East not so much. Should Mizzou be happy? Yeah but act like it's some huge thing? No

Mizzou fans for the most part understand and take it for what it is, which is it is better than not winning the east but not as good as winning the SECCG.

I actually think the loss to Indiana and the thumping by UGA got Mizzou to get their head out of their arse.

UGA had no business losing to a Florida team that Mizzou was up 42-0 before the Gators scored. 32 of those points was from our defense. The East was yours to win and you blew it.

Mizzou got stronger after it's loses. UGA petered out in the second half of the season.

South Carolina beats UGA but UGA goes to Atlanta = "We won the games we needed to, South Carolina didn't. Better teams sometimes lose games"

Georgia beats Mizzou but Mizzou goes to Atlanta = "You aren't that stupid that you think the best team wins the division"

No we didn't, the Florida game was a complete anomaly. I'm not sure what happened there. But we were still pretty good at the end of the season.

I don't know what a powerhouse is. To me, there has only been one powerhouse. Bama. LSU came close and might have been there before 2012 I suppose. Others have had powerhouse teams in a given year but I'd hardly call say Auburn a powerhouse since we've been in the conference. They had a kick arse year but the year before were putrid. So no, I don't think Mizzou fans think Mizzou is a powerhouse like Bama. I do think most Mizzou fans think for the past 2 years, Mizzou has been a top 3 or 4 team in the SEC.

Is it really as simple as that? There's a lot of factors that play in. 2011 may be a little dicier because we lost a bad one to Boise St and got blown out in the SECCG, 2012 I think would be absurd to say we were better due to a 35-7 beatdown. I can argue we collected ourselves and played much better down the stretch and won the division. It counts for something that SC can't say, but it doesn't mean we were a better team.
