Mizzou has been in the conference 3 years and has as many East titles than half the other East members combined for the decade.

Could possibly be because the other teams have fallen on hard times lately. Mizzou has done a good job of taking advantage of the situation they have been given, but they have been bitch slapped by the West both times they made it to Atlanta.

Their offense against Alabama were three or four bombs that Mauk threw that we had no chance of defending with our defense.

The SECCG started in 1992.....Georgia did not make their first appearance until 2002.... Mizzou joined the SEC in 2012....They made their first appearance in 2013....

Respect is earned with big wins or heart braking losses vs elite teams. Name mizzou's top wins of the past 2 years, and you might be underwhelmed.

Y'all's narratives keep changing. First we wouldn't be able to compete at all and would be at the bottom of the division with UK or Vandy. Then it was we wouldn't be able to win the East. If/When we ever win the SECCG, then your narrative will simply change yet again. Funny that the most butthurt seem to be Dawgs.

Florida wasn't losing to FCS schools during those years. These days they lose to FCS schools.

Exactly. Most people didn't think Mizzou could compete, and now they have won the damn division 2 straight years. Say what you want, be as arbitrary as you want, Mizzou is at work.

While this is true about the Auburn game, 59-42 is still a 17-point loss. Their offense against Alabama were three or four desperation bombs that Mauk somehow completed.

The Alabama game was never really in doubt. We hung with Auburn despite not being able to stop them.

I am not talking about the SEC West here. I am speaking of how Mizzou has taken ownership of the East and aren't getting the recognition they deserve for it.

bullshite Mizzou's 2 division titles are a result of a weak East and Georgia shitting the bed in Columbia and Jacksonville. Not to mention our offense being paper thin in 2013.

Mizzou wants respect? Beat the elite teams

Not a single Mizzou fan has ever put Mizzou in the same category as an Alabama for instance. To suggest that we should have come in and won the SECCG in the first 3 years is ludicrous. Hell, it's ludicrous that we've won the east 2 out of 3 years.

Serious question. Has Missouri beaten anyone that finished in the top 10 during these SEC East title seasons? I don't recall a single one.

If Missouri wants respect it needs to win some big games. Beefing up its OOC schedule would be a great start. Losing in 2013 to a South Carolina team that finished 11-2 won't cut it. And last year, losing at home to a 4-8 Indiana team and then 34-0 to Georgia just doesn't command respect. Its as simple as that.

You're butthurt is showing. 2013, the east had 2 teams in the top 5. How in the hell is that a weak east? Christ man. Just because one of those two teams were NOT Georgia does not mean it was down.

Funny how you determine the strength of the east only based on how Georgia does. Leading to the conclusion that the only time that the east can be viewed as strong is if UGA wins it. Fricking brilliant logic Dawg.

Mizzou and USCe weren't top 5 teams that season. Top five teams don't get shite stomped in conference title games. Both Mizzou and USCe were overrated that year, top 15? Maybe, but top 5 is ridiculous.

I never once said the East's strength is based on how good Georgia is. Mizzou and USCe were top 15 at best, Georgia was decimated by injuries, Tennessee was still in rebuilding mode, and Florida was a dumpster fire.

I get the logic of Dawg fans now.

When other teams win the division it's because UGA let them win the division.

Only UGA can beat UGA.

UGA has spoken.

Has it always been like this with Dawg fans? They are in such denial that any team other than UGA could be worth a damn. They may have some of the most insecure fans of any team in the SEC.

You can tell a team that is truly elite. Look at many of the Bama and LSU fans and some others. They can "tip the cap" to a job well done without feeling threatened. The "wannabe's" on the other hand make excuses non-stop.
