We just invested into our current stadium, and someone should arrest the contactor because the renderings are nothing like the finished product.

Who accepted the work on behalf of UGA? If I were you I'd talk to him or her.

Nice work Mizzou.

If it was only a locker room then why did renderings show significant changes?

The final product is laughable compared to that. Looks like we store lawn equipment down by the foul pole now.

I'm agreeing with you. They had all these grand designs and then only built a locker room, that doesn't even look that great if you ask me. I'm hoping they didn't want to invest too much into it because the ultimate plan is to build an entirely new stadium.

I'm wondering if, with softball moving, that doesn't open up more space over there where you can start the build in that corner and then once a season is over you can finish out the outfield, that would probably cut into the existing field a bit.

The other thing I'm wondering is, at some point Hearnes is going. Softball is moving up by it. I wonder if, in time, the plan is to move baseball up there next to softball, You can then build a replacement for Hearnes over where baseball was. That would keep the diamond sports together and the arena sports (basketball, volleyball, wrestling, etc.) would be kind of closer in proximity to Mizzou Arena.

Well job number 3 for the new AD is get that money rolling in for a new stadium. And do not laugh when I say indoor.

If you have to drive 7 hours to Millington,TN to play "home" games that snow canceled at your facility then we are too far north. Need to invest in a dome stadium.

By the way NOTHING but the circus and monster truck rallies are good in a dome stadium

For some reason that area where "MIZZOU" is spelled out on the brick reminds me of a Waffle House...

At a minimum, they need a baseball exclusive indoor practice facility.

Big flop if you ask me. The whole damn thing needs to be razed and rebuilt. It's all ugly arse piece meal stuff now.

As a season ticket holder at Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field I am actually quite pleased with the renovations. The place looks much, much better than it did in say 2003. Still lower end of the conference, but there is absolutely no way they are going to be building a new stadium in the near future. It is sufficient for what we need, now and in the intermediate future.

UGA is off to a rough start. They won a series vs FSU so you know they've got plenty of skill... but since that series win they've gone 2-7 in weekend series games. 0-3 vs GA. Southern, 2-1 vs Longwood, and now 0-3 vs Mizzou.

Robert Tyler (our ace) got hurt in Game 1 against Southern and hasn't been back since. And whereas the Mizzou series was a total disaster, I have a hard time looking at the Southern series and really grinding my teeth over it: we were on the road, it rained all damn weekend in 40 degree weather, and we lost every game by 1 run. Just shite luck against a team that wanted so badly to beat us.

The Mizzou series is really indefensible, and that's not meant to be a slight against Mizzou. We should have at least played them closer in Game 1 and Game 3. Game 2 we got completely screwed out of the win so I won't begrudge UGA too bad on that one.

Looking at their schedule it'll be interesting to see how UGA and UT do against each other but then they have to go to SC and get Vandy in Athens for a tough back to back weekend series.

I think a 1-8 or 2-7 conference start is imminent. Especially if we don't get some guys back in a hurry. Doubly so if both Sosebee and Tyler are still out.

Not a season ticket holder, but I have to disagree. It is in need of MAJOR renovation or better yet, start from scratch (which won't happen now)

It's not that bad, looks like they decided to just add more regular seating instead of the "club" standing area.

Always good to here from a fan. Capacity wise, no, we don't need more. From an aesthetic point of view the entire thing needs to be redone. That's not to say we need a 12,000 seat stadium. If it were me, I'd built a new facility with 5,000 or 6,000 seat capacity that you plan in potential expansion that makes sense if needed. The amenities for the players and the layout of the park just don't look good.

As to when? Guess it depends on if TJ is extended. If he is, you can probably get by for a while with what we have. If you want to bring in a top notch replacement for TJ, it's probably gonna be hard without some talk about what might be coming down the road.

I truly am not exaggerating when I say my son's high school field/stadium looks better. Doesn't sit quite it looks a whole helluva lot better.
