Texas told the Big 12 they would play 1 OOC game per year on the LHN. They told ESPN they'd play 3. So, they are constantly trying to get more programming.

ESPN tried to put Texas St game they're hosting against Tx Tech on the LHN. Tech said to frick off. The game won't be on the LHN

Same thing last year. Texas tried to pay Tech to agree to be on the LHN when they played. They refused.

I haven't paid attention to that really since yall gave the bird to UTx, but TT is really going as far as threatening to forfeit? Good for them

This year's game is in Lubbock, so that doesn't apply.

What he's referring to was the attempt by the Longhorn Network to get the Texas Tech at Texas State game televised on it. The Texas Tech AD told ESPN and Texas State that the moment that happened, they would forfeit the game and only play an 11-game season.

I don't remember hearing about that, but that's cool. I'm proud of them for doing that. UTx should not be allowed in any conference with the LHN, and they certainly shouldn't be allowed to show games that don't even involve UTx. They need to learn ALL conference members are equal. Vandy deserves the same payout as LSU, Bama, or any other SEC school.
The only good thing I could think of with the LHN is that pretty much doomed any shot of UTx getting in the SEC in the future if that network is still around

They missed a really bad one last year that hurt Vandy against us at home.

Yea, even before all this LHN stuff, they were the only team I wanted in the SEC less than Va Tech.
ND doesn't count since I like to live in reality

Basically, ESPN and the Longhorn Network found a loophole allowing them to televise the home games of other schools.

How, you ask? UT-San Antonio last year signed a deal to have all their games on the LHN.

When they joined the WAC, the WAC agreed to allow WAC home games to be broadcast on the LHN.

Of course, we suspect that they will try to put the Louisiana Tech game on the LHN...in which case we will forfeit the game, even if it puts our bowl chances at risk.

Bunch of commie bastards.
I hope they don't put the LT game on the LHN, mostly cuz I think that is complete crap, and should be fought tooth and nail by the SEC, but also I want to watch the game.

ETA: Also at least the WAC won't be around after this year. Never cared till I heard they will allow WAC home games on the LHN. Actually could they then, since it's not a LT home game

I forget where I read it but its already been announced teh game will not be on LHN and will be on a regular ESPN network.

I'm guessing it stays on ESPNU unless La Tech is undefeated and A&M is 3-2 or better. Worst case is it ends up on ESPN3.

Another Aggy conspiracy theory why another 5 star decides to play in Austin vice College Station. Comical

Its really not the refs that you need to worry about, its the teams that you have to play. Say what you want, but it aint gonna be as easy as you think, you aint never faced a defense like you are gonna face, every week, in the SEC. STRAP IT UP

Eh, teams need to control what they can control. Theres gonna be bad calls in every game. But that was pretty bad. In the replay shot the ref was right there looking straight at it.

I figure our corners should be able to do the same, they'll be 1st round draft picks too.
