Pretty tame as far as bad reffing goes, IMO.

shite, the ref that made the horrible call last year that cost us the tu game bragged about it later on Facebook and had multiple pics of him in longhorn gear

Nothing compares to the bullshite calls and no-calls in the old SWC days. And it usually involved the horns. They have a legacy.

The SWC just seems like it was the Vegas of CFB. Anything goes. UT did a good job of "walking the straight and narrow", in the Big 12. I think the idea of the LHN started to make people think they were up to their old tricks again. The ego and oil money stories of the SWC were legendary in the 80's.

UTx hasn't walked the straight and narrow in the Big 12

There basketball program is only not dirty compared to Baylor and Kentucky.

And it's strongly rumored that Jon Gray was just paid more than Reggie Bush to go to Austin for a recent example in football

They also loved to let OU hold on every play. Let's be honest here, every conference lets the big boys get away with more. Nature of the game.

SWC officials were the worst going back to forever. They were especially notorious for letting fans and players from schools officiate their own games leading to fun results. Probably one of the more famous though:

Mizzou has the "5th Down" that led to CU's NC. A&M has the "interception that wasn't" that led to Texas' first NC as this would have iced the game.

He only got both knees in by a yard or so

Big 12 officials were very "crew by crew". They had a few decent ones but then had a few where you knew you better be 2 TD's better than the other team. In the end, you have to keep on playing and not let it bother you. I remember the '10 A&M/Baylor game they had 3 TD's on one drive called back for very dubious crap and the team responded by scoring a 4th one that counted.

I recall a Big 12 Championship game in 07 that was pretty much even at halftime that was over by the 4th quarter because the refs decided MU was holding and OU wasn't. Whatever, it happens.

What sucks is when it's blatant like tonight.

How about the 09 B12CG where Texas was given a free play after time expired so they could kick a FG to win and go to the BCSCG

Oh well. At least Bama tossed Colt like a rag doll

I think that game turned out just fine. Thank you very much.

Your hate won't go away. It will just get directed elsewhere.

Apparently A&M and Mizzou fans remember the Big 12 quite differently

Agreed. frick the Big 12 and frick UT. That's one thing I think we'll always have moving forward. Our schools stepped up and flipped the bird to both of them. Watch as OU gets real jealous in the next five years.

Was at that game--absolutely horrid officiating. When A&M finally did score and it stood, the Aggie section spent a full 30 seconds looking around for a phantom flag because we were that conditioned to expect it.

OU didn't have a choice. Be thankful. If they could have come to the SEC they would have. They're tied to Ok St for better or for worse.

Any future move other than UTx to go Indy will include a package deal of Texas, Tx Tech, OU and Ok St. Those four will stick together.

Unless Texas Tech keeps giving UTx a big frick you with the LHN and refusing to play on it going as far as threatening to forfeit.

Stoopes and OU want nothing to do with the SEC. Bank it. They have spent the last thirty years fat and happy in the Big 8/12/whatever. Competing in a conference without the likes of kU, KSU, and ISU does not appeal to them. They would rather win the Big 12 and lose to the SEC in the MNCG than go 9-3. They will coattail UT and blame their affiliation with OSU for as long as they can. That is until TBP gets OSU primed to move forward. Then they "won't be wallflowers anymore". Yeah, frick all those worthless fricks.

I haven't paid attention to that really since yall gave the bird to UTx, but TT is really going as far as threatening to forfeit? Good for them
