I'm looking at the statistics and it's kind of amazing:

3.39 yards per rush - #118 nationally

6.23 yards per attempt passing - #112 nationally

4.76 yards per play offensively - #119 nationally

Even against South Carolina - one of the worst defenses in the whole country, Missorui only put up 3.88 yards per rush, 4.9 yards per pass attempt, and 4.27 yards per play.

The defense deserves a lot of credit, because the defensive stats are impressive considering they have literally 0 help from their offense.

If Florida loses this game, it'll be because of the Missouri defense and special teams, there is no way that offense is beating Florida without help.

I wonder if anything has changed on the offense recently?

Nope, nothing. Nothing has changed, not one thing, at all.

Well the problem is that they now have whiz frosh Drew Lock at QB and he is the truth. Stronger and quicker release than even Grier....he can hit a hummingbird in flight from 50 paces.

The only good news is that he has a total of 1 start under his belt and Mizzou isnt loaded with great WRs. We are lucky this kid hasnt started four games. Watch the zip on his ball with unbiased eyes and tell me what you see. If some of throws are off target...its because he hasnt mastered offense yet...lets hope he masters it after this weekend.

Of course as I like to tell folks....a strong arm can mean several things....and one is that the ball will get picked off sooner by DB.

We switched QBs last week and looked infinitely better. Gameplan was dialed back intentionally and we pretty much sat on the lead in the second half.

You are right though, even with Lock at QB we are still far from winning games with our offense. The defense will have to play great if we are going to beat you.

I didn't realize beating Ole Miss is now a major accomplishment to go around and beat your chest about.

If this is infinitely better then how in the world did Mauk still have the job?

Beating the #3 team in the country is a much better accomplishment than losing to Kentucky.

You are putting your faith in a true freshman quarterback against the best defense in the SEC.

This is going to be ugly for him and Missouri's offense.

Mauk kept getting put up against inferior competition like Tennessee and Arkansas and Florida so he kept winning. It took teams like UConn and Kentucky to show that we needed something different on offense.

So Ole Miss is #3? I remember you guys were top 20 maybe top 10 back in 2013 at one point. You admit sometimes the pollsters overrate the SEC teams early in the year right?

So when Ole Miss beat Alabama, they were the best team in the SEC.

When Florida beat them, they were overrated.

You're a fricking dumbass.

You are confusing me with someone who said Ole Miss was the best team in the SEC at any point. All I said was this board likes to beat its chest with "Big Six" nonsense all the time but now all of a sudden Ole Miss is a football powerhouse.
