I agree. Every SEC game has a big game feel to it from top to bottom. After 2005 I would look at Iowa St., Baylor (except 2011), Colorado, and Tech as automatic wins on the schedule. Whether or not they'd end up as an actual win was another story.

Tech did have a nice run there. Especially that game where Michael Crabtree made an incredible catch to win against #1 Texas. But I agree that Vandy is pretty much the only team not bringing a huge group of opposing fans to our SEC games. Maybe that will tone down once the novelty wears off but there are some pretty passionate fanbases. And even when Tech and Baylor were good there would maybe be a sprinkling of fans in the opposing section.

Want more love? Get a dog ... Hell, there are more dogs in this conference than there are tigers...bulldogs, collies, flea infested blue tick mangy hound dogs...

So you deny the SEC rant was created to keep Alabama fans off the Tiger rant?

I wish there was more activity on the Mizzou board here. I cannot stand tigerboard and I never went there before. The move to the SEC made this place relevant to me. It has been pretty bad for my productivity.

No way. I find many of the fan bases in the old Big Texas are very insecure and angry. There was also little to no coverage of football so someone like me didn't have much of an outlet. Now I can get my fix at any time of the day.

Totally different than before. I don't think I'd ever been referred to as a Yankee in my life prior to Mizzou joining the SEC.

same here.
I am so glad we did not end up in the Big 10. I am happy to be in the SEC and I am glad it is A&M with us and not the Longhorns.

I got called a Yankee when my family moved to Savannah for a year.

I was 5, loved me some Herchel Walker and the Dawgs, and still got called a Yankee in Kindergarten, by my teacher, only because I came from Missouri.

Relentless sonsabitches down there.

The SEC rant was created so the SEC could rant. The gumps had no outlet, their boards are complete crap, and were desperate to belong somewhere...anywhere. Now there's a place for them to vent and hopefully not harm trees or humans.

Could be the Rant has actually saved lives.

I'd rather see Missouri than Florida.
