The optics for this game might be a little down because of Missouri. To be fair, I think Mizzou plays exciting football and will make for a great game, but they're new to us and they don't "feel" as traditional yet.

In time that'll probably change. Probably due to lower publicity over time, but the logos, colors, Mizzou's home field, etc., don't strike the average fan as as "classic" as other SEC trappings. But again, now that they're here and succeeding, I suspect we'll all come around.

You would be wrong. Would feel the same if it were us or LSU. Just does not have the SEC feel to it.

I get what the OP is saying. I don't think some of us will really warm up to the idea of Mizz in the SEC. I'm included in that. I just don't consider them a fit for whatever reason. I've felt that way since day one when they struggled with the first season and feel that way now when they are doing well in a weakened East.

It's really the same for Arky. I don't really consider them the same as I do LSU, BAma, Aub, UG, and even USC. I'm not sure why but I just have some bias against Yankees.

I can kind of dig USC. They are a natural fit being Southern and all. It's that S part of the SEC that messes me up.

I don't think Alabama, LSU or Florida are really a good fit for the sec. Get out of our conference. ACC?

No. I think it's pretty awesome myself.

Why? Because they did what you couldn't do for 10 seasons in 2?

Arkansas has never won the SEC East.

We won the SEC West in our fourth season, bitch.

We were the first team not named Alabama to do so.

Fayetteville, Arkansas is farther South than Lexington, Kentucky and about the same as Knoxville, Tennessee

OK. UK and UT are founding members of the SEC in states considered Southern.

What? Mizzou took nothing away from the other teams, unlike pro sports with expansion.

Mizzou went 7-1 in the conference and lost their one game in double OT with a backup QB.

Does anyone else think because Mizzou is in the title game it's sort of dumbed down?

If you have watched them Mizou has one of the best running attacks in the country and they have added the ability to throw the ball well to that mix this year.

What is weird for this year is that in this era of the pass we have to rushing teams in the SECCG.

Would be a much better game if the Gators were in it.

I'm done caring about being accepted. We will gladly play the black hat from now on.

If I was in the east, I would be a little ashamed to let them come in and win the division in the second year. I think they are a quality team though.

Its a little embarrassing. But that is all our bedshitting shortcoming, i don't begrudge mizzou at all.

They are a good team. I am pulling for them.

Because USC is such a powerhouse program and should never finish behind Mizzou?

Quick, somebody ship a trailer full of pom poms, sportscoats, bourbon and obesity to CoMo so this game will have that "SEC feel".
