He is going to continue doing baseball. For how long, I don't know. Jack never did baseball. Jim has been doing as long as I have been listening to State baseball games.

During the Croom years when it was horrible, we had gotten beaten down by Auburn.

It was Alabama. Not Auburn. I remember it because it was my birthday and MSU always plays Alabama on or near my birthday.

Come to think of it, I believe it was sherrill's last year and not a Croom year when the team had given up the year before.

Damn the 00's were horrible.

Jack was also a WWII vet, and an aircraft mechanic. Mad props (no pun intended)

here is what i could find on Jack Cristal there are a few gems in there but a lot of it is reminiscing some of the better moments in bulldog history while he was calling games.

Jack was one of those guys they just don't make anymore. Him, Keith Jackson, John Forney, Jim Hawthorne, Jim Fyfe, Mel Allen, they are icons of a bygone era of the golden voices of sports broadcasting. I'm thankful for Eli Gold, an icon in his own right, but who knows how much longer he has as he isn't the picture of health.
