The way I see it - we went from a team that would go 4-8 or worse every single year, but every 2-3 years might pull a game out to a team that is going to go 6-6 every year, but can't quite pick off a big one.

Combine that with now the big ones come every year because the West is best, and the big ones are competing for national titles every year, and it is frustrating to be so close.

But if you take a long hard look at it, I'd rather be 6-6/7-5 every year and have the mantra of "they can't win a game against a Top 20 opponent" than 3-9/4-8 with a Top 15 upset every three years or so.

Next year the schedule eases down for us. Mississippi State's schedule is a joke will be a common thread if we end up 9-3 or better .

And I am okay with that. Playing Oregon, Oklahoma State, West Virginia and Georgia Tech during years where they are competing for BCS games gets old. We're not there yet.

Next year is the season we've had circled on the calender for awhile. Deck really shifts to our favor with the amount of returning talent we will have and the schedule we've got.

We will have 18 of 22 bowl starters back next year -- and 39 of 44 on the bowl game 2-deep. The only player of real consequence that we lose IMO is Gabe at left guard.

The outlook in that regard is the brightest it's been under Mullen for next year.

Got the QB -- got the RBs -- bring back every single receiver and tight end.

Why can't we live in a world where everyone is each others' big brother?

Let's hug it out, guys

We had plenty of skill players in the 90's, however Mullen has not recruited enough skill guys since he's been there. To do so, he will have to expand the recruiting map.

For the record, Mississippi State has never been and never will be OM's little brother.
