Nothing says I'm worried like telling the board constantly how unworried you are

I was referencing Freeze's tenure. But yeah, go for it. Take the Cotton Bowls, etc. I'm alright with it

I'm genuinely not worried about severe penalties. These sanctions will leave everyone underwhelmed. I think you'll see something similar to what Miami received in 2011. 9 scholarships over 3 years with three years of probation. No bowl ban. No vacated wins.

Still toting the company line eh?

The punishment will be more like what USC got.

I honestly don't think it will go that far back. Mainly the 2 worst years under Nutt. Don't know of anyone that was helped by Saunders before then. I may just not know though.

2. Stick to recruiting Mississippi, where they can operate with the more traditional local booster system that can easily provide jobs for family members or extra cash to entice a player to stay in state and play for MSU.

You probably should have mentioned another tactic that state college uses to try and compete with Ole Miss on the recruiting trail...and that is paying prospects NOT to visit Oxford and Ole Miss. This tactic was proven and backed up with evidence the past 2 years.

Oxford is just as much a hole in the ground as Starkville. Both are shitty towns in a shitty state.

Oxford is actually quite nice. I will say this, thank goodness for Louisiana, though, which oftentimes helps keep Mississippi from being dead last in certain rankings from education, to salaries and so on.

1) Ole Miss >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MSU
2) REC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Network
3) TGFM - State of Alabama may suck, but Alabama >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mississippi.. Not even close.

Why would anyone choose to live in Mississippi???? What do they have???

This is where the MSU Mafia really has an issue. Deep down they know this is the case. They know that to a hypothetical top prospect from say Virginia, Oxford is a more enticing trip to consider than Starkville.

If I'm white maybe. Oxford would not appeal to me at all if I were a black student athlete. It might even be one of the least appealing areas of the state. For that reason it's more about other enticements than any advantages to living in Oxford MS.
