I love how State fans are entering the Ole Miss ignorance stage from a couple years ago.

Welcome to the party, it is downhill from here.

You are in deep denial. Good luck with that.

People refuse to talk to the NCAA all the time. Student athletes included. I've heard that Saban refused to let some of his players be interviewed. Why do you think he would HAVE to talk?

Well, they don't have to talk. They don't have to play either.

Private citizens can easily tell the NCAA to go fly a kite all day long but cooperation is part of your agreement as a participant in the organization.

Oh, and the rumor you heard about Saban was debunked years ago.

The NCAA is deciding if they want to use lube or not on Ole Miss

Why would they not play? Because Sheridan heard a rumor?

Police use that tactic on dumbass criminals all the time.

Of course they were.

Our investigation was pretty much wrapped up, then Tunsil draft night happened.

State is not in the clear, but welcome to Ole Miss fans feelings 3 years ago.

People ruled ineligible for not co-operating generally don't get to play.

I hope you're just trolling and not that dense.

Your investigation was not wrapped up. Your athletic director is a liar and that article just proved it. There were people being interviewed in February after he said that it was over.

And you Ole Miss fans had just entered 3. the bargaining stage too, and now back to 2. Anger in the 5 stages of death. You guys need to push through to depression so you can get closer to acceptance.

I don't think the point of the article is to say Miss State is getting in trouble. It's questioning how the NCAA can decide what he says against Ole Miss is credible and what he said about State is not. I'm biased towards Ole Miss, but I would think someone who is completely objective would have issues taking Lewis at his word about what Ole Miss gave him when the NCAA says the information given on State was not. Either he is credible on both accounts or he's not. I know this was written by an Ole Miss guy, so what I said above is only based on if the article was accurate in describing what Lewis told the NCAA and their actions.

Was msu still on NCAA probation during this time frame for the Redmond car loan? If this is proven to be true, it could be much worse for msu.

What you're saying just isn't true. Leo Lewis wasn't being investigated. He simply did not HAVE to cooperate with another investigation. And even if he did, the problem here was that he was compelled by an NCAA investigator and possibly his own coach to be a part of an investigation into another school. Do you not think that's a fricking big deal?

The other schools name was redacted and Ole Miss claimed it was State. Sent it to the NCAA, and the NCAA found it not to be credible. So maybe it wasn't State and that's why Lewis testimony could be credible about Ole Miss but not about State. I have no idea, just trying to talk it out.

Remind me the last time Moo State was in trouble with the NCAA, and the last time Auburn was? On top of that, the only thing that came out with Cam was Moo State boosters and coaches offering money.

I'll hang up and listen.

And Leo wasn't the main witness. That's the part that rebears keep missing.

The NCAA had Barney and Allen dead to rights, and Barney confessed. OM admits this in their response to the NOA.

LL was brought in as corroboration. At first he wasn't forthcoming about the payments, but when the NCAA showed him that they had the text messages between Allen and Farrar and that Barney had already confessed then he confessed as well.

Ole Miss fans have been wrong about 1000 times in a row during this investigation but yeah this is the time they are correct and MSU is definitely going to get hammered.

The letter, which was obtained by SB Nation, alleges that NCAA enforcement confirmed to Ole Miss that they had “quickly opened and subsequently closed” the investigation because Lewis’s statements about receiving money from Mississippi State were deemed to be “ultimately... not sufficiently credible to support an allegation.”

Really "..."?? And we outsiders are suppose to just say "ohhhhh ok yeah nothing to see here" when "..." is used at a key point?? Whats the full comment??

This kid was given immunity, and by association so was msu regarding comments made about them. I know officially msu isnt protected, but i'm sure if something slipped out the ncaa would have said "lets keep our eyes on the prize OM, and not waste time." or gave him a wink wink we'll drop all the msu stuff on the edit floor.

Hard to find someone totally credible that is having to hide stuff about his current school, so his career isn't ruined though he has immunity protecting himself only.

I dont care about either om or msu, but from an outsider looking in it just doesn't pass muster that msu was a total angel in all of this. Where there is smoke there is fire at this point...
