re: Miss State / Arkansas Preview (Who Wins?)

I said this last night. this game comes down to thier o line vs our d line. I expect arkansas to get to Dak alot more than they get to allen and that will be the difference in the game. sacks will stall miss st enough for arkansas to get a lead and win.

Arkansas, the schedule only gets easier from here.

I would not have said that around the auburn game. at Ole Miss I seen us whiff on 6 3rd down sacks, Ole Miss shouldn't have even been in that game if we hit kelly. our coaches brought this up and said they would emphasis it during practice and last week we hit harris as a result. I believe that we will be in states back field alot. the pass rush has improved immensely and this will be a huge test but I think they get thier job done. Arkansas is going to score 35 and I think state scores around 21-24. 17 at lowest.

True, but I think the battle between our Oline vs their Dline is also very important. We'll score some points, regardless, but a) they're better with passing defense and b) we don't want to score too quickly, which is more likely if we're passing. If State can't stop our run game, then the game is over now, but I suspect they'll have some success.

The big question I have is if they'll have enough to force us to throw a lot. If they do, then it could be very close, because we may not have as much success throwing against them, as we did with Ole Miss and LSU.

I think cold favors arkansas vs miss set's run defense. it's tougher to catch the ball when you have stone hands.

I think that our balance on offense is something no one else in this league has. we are averaging 35 points a game or close to it and at this point I think that is what we will score no matter the defense. I think in the Ole Miss game we showed that we can have long sustained drives and score big. I knew we would blow lsu out. I felt after the auburn game we would win out if we could get past Ole miss. we did and last week we got our defenses confidence back. I expect us to keep getting better on defense for the rest of our games. I think arkansas wins but it will be closer than the lsu game but not as close as the Ole miss game. that's the best way for me to describe it.

I don't see that as bad weather, but coming from most of MS, I could see how that would have a big negative on your team. As LSU about it last year.
