Heading into Fayetteville this weekend we have a match of two teams trying to find a way to close out the season. Oddly after this weekends matchup, both teams have rivalry games the week after. Miss State will play the Egg Bowl and Arkansas will be playing the University of Missouri Tigers in the newly added Battle Line Rivalry. Lets take a look at the stats for both teams.

Miss St
7-3 (3-3)
Ark
6-4 (4-2)

Total Offense Total Defense
Miss St Miss St
#40/438.4 #48/370.3
Ark Ark
#25/469.3 #77/404.7

Rush Offense Rush Defense
Miss St Miss St
#99/141.3 #77/174.4
Ark Ark
#32/203.0 #20/122.4

Pass Offense Pass Defense
Miss St Miss St
#21/297.1 #18/110.33
Ark Ark
#33/266.3 #105/144.66

This is going to be a tough match up that will come down to the Defensive Line and Interceptions. If Dak is hot, he will eat up Arkansas' secondary and will expose them, at the same time, Miss St needs to be hot on their offensive line and watch out for sacks as the Razorbacks defense has been red hot lately.

As always, best wishes to both teams and hope the injury bug stays away

They way they are playing now, Arky wins by 5 touchdowns.

I personally think it comes down to Dak. If he's hot it could be bad for us.

It will be a good game. no matter how hot we may seem I refuse to pick us to win another game this season. No telling who will break a foot this week.

It all will come down to states oline vs arky dline. Dak has been consistent all season. The amount of time he has had has varied a lot. In our losses the oline has been murdered. If you have to bring more than 4 to get pressure you will lose. If you only have to bring 4 you have a good shot.

If he's able to break containment and run, it will be tough.

Him and B Allen will both get a shot at the NFL

Neither will ever take a regular season snap

I like Arkansas by a single score. Arkansas did great getting pressure last week, and as talented as Dak is, I do not think he can get that much going if he has to scramble that much.

I still think he will make enough completions and some first downs with his feet to make it a very competitive game.

This will be a much tougher game than LSU.
If we can tackle Dak short on 3rd and 5 to 7, I think we win.
Too many times I've seen (in the past) us get an athletic QB in 3rd and long and let him get away from us for the first down.

I felt better about beating LSU last week than I do State this week. LSU is pretty easy to figure out...Dak is not.

agreed. i was concerned harris would exploit our lb depth weakness with qb runs but didnt. dak could honestly give us fits running the ball if they choose. also, dak has a better arm, which worries me. i dont feel great about the matchup but hope we can eek one out.

I'm not too worried about Dak running because their line isn't the greatest. If our O line shows we should get a few holes for quality sacks

Harris was too busy being sacked by our DL to explore our LBs

We're overrated. We just beat a crappy, has been team in LSU and everyone thinks we're worldbeaters. How did we do the last time we were picked to win a competitive game? Oh yeah, we lost to Toledo.
