Texas A&M: Barely beat a horrendous Arkansas team. Beat some scrubs.
Mississippi State: Barely lost to a great LSU team. Beat some scrubs, although Auburn and Southern Miss were road games in front of hostile crowds that really wanted to win.
Mississippi State's resume is a little better, but the game's in College Station. Should be close.
Going with 38-35 MSU, because I just don't see anything on Texas A&M's resume that suggests they can beat a decent team like MSU.

Nice. That should carry you well into the next decade when counting the conference wins Aggy has over LSU. Plenty of time to learn the next one.
