Well, hopefully he'll stay healthy the rest of the way and put these threads to rest.

What was the word on his injury? Will he be back next weekend?

Collins has been #1 since week 1. Hell Davis wasn't even top 3 until last week.

Davis will become the leader after this week. We play Kentucky

I doubt it. Honestly, he has been slowed by the thigh injury he sustained on his 75 yard run at Clemson. I don't think hd has practiced much during the week on any of the weeks since then. He is a gamer, though. Even before the ankle injury when he was gouging the lsu d for 9 yards a carry, anyone who has watched him since last year could tell you the turbo button wasn't engaged against lsu. I am inclined to agree with the poster that said this is a golden age for sec RBs.

splitting carries with another back that could start at almost every other SEC school...and he has had injuries...

Gurley > Davis

time will show that I am correct...

The same could be said about Davis splitting carries with Brandon Wilds and Connor Shaw.

I'm not trying to say that Davis is necessarily better than Gurley. But it's a helluva lot closer of an argument than the UGA cats would like to think.

The thing is Davis is probably better then Lattimore. Kind of crazy if you think about it after one year. Starting to reload at RB.

Lattimore didn't have an offensive of the caliber that Davis has this year but Mike D definitely has that extra gear that allows him to rip off the long runs that Lattimore didn't have

From an unbiased SC and SEC fan. Its Gurley above Davis because his body of work is greater than 4 games. Gets so old when people jump on a bandwagon so quick. SC fans pointing toward him being injury prone is also hypocritical because we spent so much time defending Lattimore. Davis is not better than Latt! He might become better, Latt is better in the red zone, better blocker and better receiver out of the backfield.

Wow, we got us a smart one here.....

It's clear to all but the UGA fans that USC's GA RB product is better than UGA's NC RB product, and they are all a-rage at the prospect. Gurley looks to struggle physically through the rest of the season.

I suggest sitting him down now and red-shirting this year back for him before it's too late....

I think the problem on why UGA's Gurley RB gets injured so much is that Richt is using him too much and riding him into the ground. He's been the crutch for the offense in both the wins and losses.

I think Richt and Bobo are going to use him all up and ruin his chances of a pro career. He's only 4 games into the season and he's had 2 game ending injuries, this latest might be longer.

As much as I hate too say it, but I think Gurly is the best rb in the SEC he has it all...hopefully he's not injury prone like Latimore turned out to be.

CSB but Davis has more yards and a better YPC plus he's a good reciever.
Also, if you look at our common opponent, Davis far outshined Hill.
