I don't understand why tv networks are concerned about market size . They should be concerned about quality of the product . Why is Espn paying the sec a boatload of money ? It sure isn't the size of tv markets in Tuscaloosa , Baton Rouge , Auburn etc . It is about the quality of football .

Then you don't understand tv.

Doesn't matter Two strokes of a pen will remedy that. First, dissolves the conference. Second re-forms it without Moo State.

dissolve the most powerful and wealthiest conference in the nation?

You had your one shot at it all last year and got gang-raped. State and Misery have accomplished the exact same thing in league play. Both have been to Atlanta, neither won it.

I hope not, we need the 2 easy wins every year. If those 2 Fla schools get in, they would be relevant quickly, especially USF, you know, the largest college in Florida.

Conference should have stayed at 12. Since it HAD to go to 14 for some reason, it should have been a&m and Virginia Tech. We will not be able to remedy this mistake and adding more bad fits will just weaken the conference more. If the conference does anything it should move mizzou to the west and Auburn or Mississippi State to the east.

Memphis = Ole Miss market

We own the City of Memphis. Not Tennessee.

It's sad when the best thing your school brings to the conference is a TV market

Well, let's be honest with each other here, that's more than what Mississippi State and Ole Miss bring to the SEC.

The Birmingham TV market is one of the largest in the country in terms of college football ratings.

Actually its the other way around.

The fact is the only reason the SEC is at 14 teams is because of A&M. If we would have come with Arky both you and USC would be screwed.

I am glad it didn't happen that way, just saying....

The SEC would never take on commuter schools or replace charter members, so there's really nothing to see here.

If the SEC was going to take another Florida team it would be Florida State. Why the hell would anyone want UCF or USF in their conference is beyond me.

1. UCF and USF are the two largest schools in the state of Florida

2. They would bring in the Miami and Orlando markets

3. Florida State is not coming

OM has the Memphis market and both OM and State have experienced success on a national level.

Oh, I know. I'm a big aTm fan. There's just a couple of jizzers in your crew that need slapping around.

Having Florida and Florida State would already do this. I'd be willing to bet they have more fans in those areas than UCF and USF. Also add Miami instead of those two.

Other than Florida bitching and complaining about it, why not?

It's funny when Tennessee fans try to act like that's one of the markets that they bring.

Is this really worth a post ? If we wanted a team from Florida, we would have went after FSU, not directional U., but then again Bianci lives in Orlando, what would you expect ?

Pales in comparison to Orlando and Miami, not to mention the fact that a lot of Alabama grads reside in that area as well.

I wasn't alive during segregation so I don't remember Ole Miss's success. Plus...I'm pretty sure it's been over 70 years since Mississippi State won anything of significance. USF was ranked as high as #2 in the nation back in 2007. How long has it been since Ole Miss was ranked that high?
