More prestigious, and he would have an easier road to that elusive NC game.

He would, but I don't see him leaving Georgia.

He seems to love it there.

Michigan is a big time program though, one of the biggest.

Not even a little bit. Heavy favorite to get the job as long as Richt isn't fired

Haha ok. I don't know if that is true and I doubt you do either.

Michigan a better job than Georgia?

Not better, but not worse.
It would just be a lateral move.

It's an increase in legacy potential and a decrease in a lot of other things.

I've been told that Richt doesn't want to stay in the SEC if this happens or taken a second-tier job in any conference. He'd want to go to a big program that does things the right way

Since when in the holy taco has Michigan done things the right way? WTF is this arse muncher smoking.

Can he recruit from the south up to Michigan
Can't see it
I do think coaches can stay in one place too long

Thats what I thought too, but after thinking about it Michigan is big deal.

Its a historic program.

Not sure it would be lateral.

If you really wanted to point out a grammatical error, you should have pointed out that "thing" should be plural.

"academics" in this case would be singular, thus thing is correct

I actually think he'd be good at Georgia. I'd rather have Bobo than Smart, as an example

The primary reason not to believe this is Michigan seems unlikely to pay a salary that competes with other serious football programs. UGA is probably a better job than Michigan to boot. It is much easier to recruit there and while the road to winning your conference might be harder the East is so far down that I don't think there's a significant difference. MR has come really close a few times to boot - 2002, 2007, and 2012 were all single games that they could have won but came up short (Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama)

The only thing Michigan has on Georgia are academics

I’m not usually a grammar Nazi but that was funny timing for a grammatical error.

Me too, but only because you really need an offensive HC right now unless you've got a sure thing defensive HC (not many).

my only source is the numerous, countless, myriad quotes from richt himself saying as much.

But I mean that doesn't mean anything I guess.

Actually seems like a decent fit. He can win big games and make it to conference championships, which is probably all Michigan cares about at this point. And the Big 10 is probably pretty similar to the East as far as perrenial strength.

Better to leave on his own terms if the fans and admin start rattling sabres at him.
